What is the weather like this time of year?
Telluride is beautiful in October, with crisp mountain air, changing foliage, and the first hints of winter on the peaks. Daytime temperatures are typically cool, and evenings can drop below freezing. The average high is around 60 degrees, and the average low is around 35 degrees. Since much of the celebration will take place outdoors, we recommend bringing warm layers—a coat, wrap, or even gloves—to stay comfortable. Space heaters will be provided, but you’ll still want to dress cozy, especially once the sun goes down.
What altitude will we be at?
Telluride is at a very high altitude, especially for those of you coming from sea level - the town of Telluride is located at 8,750 feet and Mountain Village is about 9,500. We recommend taking as much time to acclimate to the altitude as you can by arriving early, drinking plenty of water, and wearing sunscreen while you’re here.
What time should I arrive for the ceremony?
Please arrive at the venue between 3:30pm and 3:45pm to allow ample time for parking and getting settled before the procession begins at 4:00pm.
What is the dress code?
Western Mountain Elegance or Cocktail Attire! We invite you to dress sharp and stylish while embracing a sense of fun for an evening of celebration. As temperatures drop after sunset, please plan to dress warmly. Hats, fur accents, and boots are encouraged to lean into the mountain-western vibe—however, please note that jeans are not permitted.
When should I RSVP?
Please take a moment to RSVP on our website. Early responses help us plan the details with everyone’s comfort in mind. We ask that you RSVP by March 15, 2026.
Is the wedding outside or indoors?
The wedding will be held at a private residence, and we’re planning for most of the celebration to take place outdoors. While we’ll have heaters to keep everyone comfortable, we recommend bringing an extra layer as it can get cooler in the evening.
Should I stay in Downtown Telluride or Mountain Village?
Both options are great, as once you arrive in Telluride, everything is within walking distance or easily accessible via the free gondola! Mountain Village is a five minute ride on the gondola from Downtown Telluride.
Will We Need A Car Once We Arrive In Telluride?
Not at all! One of the best parts about visiting Telluride is that once you’ve made it to the area, the free gondola gets you pretty much everywhere you’d want to go. Most hotels have shuttles should you need a ride after the gondola closes at midnight or you can contact Tellurides.com for a private car.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
Are children welcome?
Due to limited space, we kindly ask that only the children listed on your RSVP attend the event. We hope you’ll still join us in celebrating!
If you’re bringing your children to Telluride, we’re happy to recommend trusted babysitting services, such as Annie’s Nannies and Telluride Sitters:

Is there parking at the venue?
Yes, but it is extremely limited. We ask that you carpool with family and friends if possible.
