Wedding guests are welcome to use the Cathedral parking lot during the ceremony. However, all vehicles must be removed from the lot after the wedding to free up parking for parishioners attending Saturday evening mass.
If the parking lot at the cathedral is full, you can park at the Queen Street Garage, conveniently located just behind the cathedral at 93 Queen Street. This garage has a broader entrance than most and would be a spacious alternative for larger vehicles.
To make your day seamless, we recommend parking near the Francis Marion Hotel and walking to the ceremony at the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist. Since the church does not allow cars to remain in the lot after the ceremony, this will allow you to stroll back to the hotel for the reception without worrying about relocating your car. Enjoy the charm of Charleston’s historic streets and a stress-free transition between the celebration!
