Wedding guests are welcome to use the Cathedral parking lot during the ceremony. However, all vehicles must be removed from the lot after the wedding to free up parking for parishioners attending Saturday evening mass.

If the parking lot at the cathedral is full, you can park at the Queen Street Garage, conveniently located just behind the cathedral at 93 Queen Street. This garage has a broader entrance than most and would be a spacious alternative for larger vehicles.

To make your day seamless, we recommend parking near the Francis Marion Hotel and walking to the ceremony at the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist. Since the church does not allow cars to remain in the lot after the ceremony, this will allow you to stroll back to the hotel for the reception without worrying about relocating your car. Valet services are available at any time on the day of arrival, include unlimited in and out privileges, and are good until 11:59 PM the day of departure. Upon arrival, please park in the valet lane on King Street, and the bellmen will unload your vehicle.

The entrance to the Marion Square Garage is conveniently located at 399 King Street, directly behind the hotel. This is a paid parking garage with a daily maximum charge of $24.00. The day starts and ends at midnight for billing purposes.

The St. Philip Street Garage is at 89 St. Philip Street, which is also a short walking distance from the venue.

There is also Visitor's Center Parking Garage at 63 Mary Street and Wentworth Parking Garage at 81 Wentworth Street, both within walking distance of the hotel. The Visitor's Center Garage will accommodate vehicles larger than 7 ft.

Charleston County Parking Garage is located just 2 blocks from the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and is less than a 10-minute walk from the reception. The garage is at 85 Queen Street and provides an easy walk to both venues.

The Majestic Square Parking Garage, located at 211 King Street, is another convenient option for guests. It is near Target and a short walk from the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and the Francis Marion Hotel.

Metered street parking is also available in the surrounding area. Please note that metered parking is enforced Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at a rate of $3 per hour, with a minimum charge of one hour. It is important to note that metered parking cannot exceed two hours. Meters accept credit cards and the City of Charleston SmartCard.
