Getting to Brainerd
Our wedding festivities are in Brainerd, MN, which is just over two hours north of the Twin Cities and home to our favorite, Gull Lake. For those in Minnesota who are driving, it usually takes anywhere from two to three hours to get there from Minneapolis, depending on traffic, which is usually busier in the summer. For those flying in, we recommend flying into Minneapolis and then driving - either renting a car or carpooling with someone who lives here. You can also fly directly into Brainerd, but it's a very small airport, so costs will be higher.
Grand View Lodge
PREFERRED HOTEL
Details: This is where the bride and groom, close family and wedding party will be staying. If you're looking to stay a bit longer and enjoy Brainerd, we suggest staying here. It's one of the best resorts on Gull Lake. 20 minutes from the venue. Book early for deals or stay with a group in a larger cabin!

Arrowwood Lodge at Brainerd Lakes
PREFERRED HOTEL
Details: Large cabin-feel hotel, 10 minutes from the venue. Has a waterpark and restaurant. We recommend staying here if you'll be staying for two nights (Friday-Sunday) as there is a two-night minimum. Check-in at 4PM, check out at 11AM.
To book: You have to call to book: 218-822-5634 and mention "Erdman Blasidell Wedding" for the discounted rate. Reservations to grab this price need to be made by May 5, but rooms may go faster, so book asap.
Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Baxter, MN
PREFERRED HOTEL
Details: Part of the Radisson chain, this is a small, nicer hotel in the area, 10 minutes from the venue. There is no minimum night stay, so we recommend staying here if only coming for 1-2 nights. Check-in is at 3PM. Has pool, gym, and free breakfast.
To book: You have to call to book: 218-828-2161 and mention "Erdman Blaisdell Wedding" and you'll get a discounted rate that can work for any number of nights (available until May 17 or until it's fully booked).
Baymont by Wyndham Baxter/Brainerd Area
Additional hotel option.
10 minutes from the venue, this is one of the more cost-effective hotel options.
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Brainerd-Baxter
Additional hotel option.
10 minutes from the venue, this is a great option. It has a large waterpark, pool, and even laser tag!
Airbnb or VRBO
There are lots of rentals available nearby. Check areas like Brainerd, Baxter, Nisswa or any of the surrounding lakes (Gull Lake, North Long Lake, Round Lake).
Shuttle
There will be shuttle service on the 17th (wedding day). There will be pickups and dropoffs available at Grandview Lodge, Arrowwood Lodge, and Country Inn & Suites. Before the wedding, pickup for Grandview Lodge will be at 2:45 and pickup for Arrowwood and Country Inn will be at 3:00 and 3:10 Leaving the wedding, there will be shuttles available at 10:30 and midnight.
If you are staying at an airbnb, let Hannah know the address. The shuttle service is open to dropping off after the wedding only if the airbnb is in a reasonable distance.
Brainerd Taxi
No ubers and lyfts in Brainerd, but they have a taxi service. If using this, we recommend scheduling in advance.
