Our Story

In the Right Direction

In April 2021, Hannah & Wade were both bored in a post-COVID world, swiping away. Hannah discovered Wade first, and went outside of her norm, and swiped yes to Wade. Wade saw Hannah immediately after and swiped yes immediately. He sent Hannah one message, and Hannah never replied.

However, they added each other on social media (not Facebook, we all know Wade never uses that). They quickly began talking every day. Wade sent a lot of video documentaries of all of the stuff he did at work, and other random things he did during the day.

Finally, after about a week, Wade had finally convinced Hannah to go on a date. They had their first date at 8pm on a Sunday. Wade picked Hannah up, and they went for a walk, where Wade was nonstop talking talking talking. Hannah immediately felt for every person that ever wished she would just stop talking. Hannah swears she got in maybe 5 sentences. But Wade was sure of Hannah from the very beginning. Hannah took a bit longer (the third date) to feel the same. They had their second date a week after their first, on another Sunday. (Wade was working 6-days a week, and 70 hours at that at the time.) They had their third date the day after the second -- and to put it how it was: they have been together every day since. After about 4 weeks, Wade pseudo-moved in with Hannah and Marie, and the rest is history.

The Engagement

Hannah and Wade had brought 12-week-old Ruby home on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, it decided it was going to pour all day. Wade had taken Ruby outside to go to the bathroom before heading to his parents house for the holiday. Hannah was on the couch with Cooper... who was still getting used to his new sister. Needless to say, at first, the cat was not thrilled we brought a puppy home.

Wade came back upstairs, both him and Ruby were soaking wet. Wade told Hannah that Ruby had a gift for her. He came over to the couch, and took the ring box out from underneath Ruby's harness, and got down on one knee. Meanwhile, a wet Ruby only cared about Cooper, who was swatting away at her between Hannah's legs, being... well a dog and cat; all while Wade was down on his knee, not caring about the chaos. Wade (finally) asked Hannah to marry him. An easy "YES!" was the obvious response. And maybe a comment about how she should've gotten Wade a dog a lot earlier.
