There are tons of mountain biking trails around Durango, most notably at Purgatory Resort!

Durango has tons of amazing hiking trails. Our favorites are Ice Lake and Island Lake (get there early for parking), Chicago Basin (if you have an extra 3 days to spare for a backpacking trip), Purgatory Trail, and more around the ski hill.

Take the train on a beautiful scenic ride from Durango to Silverton

The drive along 550 from Durango to Silverton is gorgeous! Be prepared for breathtaking views along the mountain pass.

Rent bikes or E-bikes to cruise along the Animas River Trail in town, one of our favorite activities!

Palisade peaches may be in season at the time of the wedding! Bring an extra cooler to bring some fresh peaches back home.

There’s lots of great restaurants in town. Some favorites are The Nugget, Steamworks Brewing, Chimayo, Himalayan Kitchen, Derailed Pour House, James Ranch Grill, and 11th Street Station.

Walk or bike your way along this pleasant paved trail conveniently located in town.

There are some beautiful spots along the forest road which leads up to our ceremony/reception site at Purgatory. Lots more spots available near Durango and Silverton.
