MTA Transit

The NYC subway is our preferred method of transportation. To take the subway, head to just about any stop located on the map linked below. In the station, there will be kiosks where you can purchase either single rides or multiple-use cards to swipe through the turnstiles.

To get around, we recommend using either Google Maps on your phone, or downloading the Embark NYC app. Google will allow you to search directions by public transportation, while Embark NYC can show you an interactive map to track stops.

Toro is a few blocks from the 14th Street stops for the A, C, E, L, 2 and 3 MTA trains.

The Courtyard Chelsea is walking distance from 28 St. (1 train), Penn Station (1, 2 and 3 trains) or 34 St Herald Square (D, F, N, Q and R trains).

Uber and Lyft

Uber and Lyft are two very popular cab services in NYC. Both have apps you must download onto your phone. From there, you can request a driver, set a destination and pay using a debit/credit card. Uber's interface is easier to use, but Lyft often runs better deals for rides within Manhattan. Either should suit you just fine to get around the city.

We recommend using Uber or Lyft, but if you prefer to travel old school, you can still call a Yellow Cab taxi.
