Hannah & Nate wanted to tie the knot in a way that felt most natural to them. A traditional and expensive ceremony didn’t feel right. The soon-to-be newlyweds fell in love while hiking and exploring the outdoors. They wanted their wedding day to reflect that. The couple would like their special day to be an adventure they share with their loved ones.
Hannah and Nate invite you to join them for a short day hike (4.3 miles) up to the picturesque Lamoille Lake located in Nevada’s Ruby Mountains. There, they plan to hold an intimate ceremony overlooking the lake, followed by an afternoon spent celebrating their love and enjoying nature.
Join Hannah at the Lamoille Lake trailhead and help her hike to her happily ever after. As the bride, Hannah plans to take the main trail up to the lake. She'll be getting wedding-ready at the top and wants to make sure she has plenty of time to do so before the ceremony. She invites anyone to join her. Especially those who aren't bothered by slow, heavy breathing hiking, and those who don't shy away from an abundance of picture taking.
Join Nate at the Lamoille Lake trailhead and keep him company as he hikes to get hitched. Nate invites anyone to join him. Especially those who enjoy sweating, snacking on cheese and inappropriate jokes.
The red arrow shows the rock where we will be gathering to say 'I Do.' Once you arrive, we ask that you head straight there and claim your spot. We will be making some sort of aisle for the bride to walk down towards the tip of the rock to meet her groom.
This is a public lake. We are planning to kindly ask anyone else enjoying its beauty to allow us a quick 15–20 minute takeover of the rock for the ceremony. We are hopeful for understanding and accommodating fellow human beings.
After the "I Do's" the couple invite you to spend a few hours at the lake with them. Bring your fishing pole, bathing suit and picnic blankets. We'll all enjoy sweet sunshine and sack lunches together. (Don't worry, there shouldn't be snow. The picture above was taken in early July.)
A water filtration system will provide fresh water from the alpine lake. Any other beverages (alcoholic or non) are encouraged but must be packed in and out on your own. (BYOB!)
It's time to get JIGGY!
We understand some people don't desire to hike up a mountain as much as we do, so we'd like to invite everyone to some dinner & dancing in town after the ceremony!
So put on some nice cocktail attire and bring your best dance moves!
We'll be having more traditional wedding festivities during this time such as speeches, first dances, cake, mocktails and cocktails.
We will have Las Brisas Taco Truck outside for you to eat at your convenience. Make sure you grab a meal ticket inside when you first arrive. He won't be able to take your order without one.
