Hannah and Michael met in undergrad at the University of Maryland. It was a long and fun journey to officially becoming a couple. Between him flirting with his teaching assistant (aka Hannah) to Hannah being the one chasing him, they finally made it official in the summer of 2018.

They share a love for travel and ever since their first ski trip to Sugarloaf Mountain, in Maine, they have made it a core part of their relationship.

Their favorite trip to date has to be their time in Puerto Rico. They still dream about one day having a house there.

They fell in love with Shenandoah National Park and it became their favorite place to escape to.

Michael and Hannah both graduated from the College of Agriculture with honors and their families met for the first time at their delicious graduation dinner where way too much food and wine was consumed!

The summer of 2019 was full of adventure but nothing beat the road trip from Pennsylvania to Montana visiting National Parks.

After the best summer came to an end, it was time to start their long distance journey as Hannah started veterinary school at Virginia Tech.

The adventure didn't stop and they learned to squeeze as much as they could into weekend visits. They even got scuba certified!

To keep the tailgating fun alive, they traded in their Terps gear for some VT Hokie swag!

Hannah and Michael began their "meet-in-the-middle" adventures with Michael's birthday trip to Assateague Island.

One great thing about Blacksburg was that they had plenty of new hikes to enjoy! Featuring McAfee Knob.

Once the COVID pandemic hit, Hannah's schooling went fully online and she temporarily moved in with Michael in Laurel, MD. To keep things lively at such a tough time they would have Friday date nights at home <3

They became a family of 3 when they adopted the best kitty in the world, Fwuffs. He was the greatest study buddy for Hannah as she continued with online schooling.

They went on the most epic two week long Southwest van trip and explored the most surreal places.

Somehow they added another member to the family, the craziest of the bunch, Martin aka Marty aka Moo. And at this point, Hannah was back in Blacksburg, meanwhile Michael had moved to Fredericksburg, VA. They were happy to be a bit closer to each other <3

They continued to go on ski trips, this time to Hunter Mountain followed by a quick trip to NYC.

After another semester of vet school and weekend visits, Michael moved to Ohio. This felt like longest drive, in the loudest U-Haul ever! Hannah spent most of this summer in Blacksburg on clinical rotations but was lucky enough to be apart of this big move.

Michael and Hannah went on their first big family vacation with the Wijesinghe fam to Cape Cod, which was a blast!

They reached third year of vet school and continued filling weekend visits with adventure. Their favorite thing to do was explore a new hike and then kick back at a local brewery which was a "typical Mike and Hannah day."

Winter trips continued on and this time Hannah and Michael went to Jay Peak and Burlington in Vermont.

To no surprise, they picked up another cat along the way...this time Michael was all to blame since he fell in love with sweet Lily Bug at work.

They ended a great summer together with a Wijesinghe family vacation to Mexico which was absolutely gorgeous. Afterwards, Hannah headed back down to Blacksburg for her last year of vet school!!

Michael and Hannah bought their 1st house which they started renovating with lots of help from their Dads and Justin!

The proposal was a COMPLETE surprise for Hannah and Michael could not have made it more perfect. He even got both of their families and close friends to be apart of the surprise and it was the best weekend of celebration <3

Hannah finally graduated veterinary school and the long distance was officially over!

They celebrated graduation with the most amazing trip to Greece. This was Michael's 1st time in Europe.

When they got back, they welcomed Laney to the family <3

Hannah officially started her new job as Dr. Mader, DVM!

Now they are living their best life as a family of 5 and cannot wait to celebrate their love with you all in 2024!
