The state of North Carolina is big and has so much more to offer outside of the city. Here are the couple's favorite spots outside the city to explore after or before the wedding:


- Drive ~4 hours to Asheville and enjoy the beautiful smoky mountains and amazing breweries

- Drive 2 hours to Wilmington for a week at the beach

- Drive 4 hours to Lake Lure and enjoy the relaxing lake feel and be near Chimney Rock State Park

- Drive 2.5 hours to Charlotte for North Carolina's little "big" city
