Rupert and I first met in 2019 while attending Texas A&M Corpus Christi. We were both part of Greek life and enjoyed hanging out with the same group of friends. After about 2 years of friendship, Rupert asked me out on a date and I said yes! We had an instant connection and grew stronger through our faith and our love for similar hobbies – camping, exercising together, and anything outdoors! Pretty soon, we were cooking for one another and hanging out every day! The thing I admire most about Rupert is his big heart and his love for taking care of others.
Because of our love for the outdoors, it was no surprise that he chose to propose to me at Garner State Park on Mt. Baldy. He planned the perfect weekend with our dog Ringo, I drove up to GSP after work and he had been there all day setting up our campsite. He had Mac n cheese by the fireside ready for me when I got there. We woke up at sunrise for a hike in the freezing cold weather (literally our tent was frozen) and hiked up. I had no idea he was proposing! It was perfect.
Over the last 5 years, we have gone on countless road trips, been to Mexico, lived in 2 different cities, gained a few degrees, ….. and so much more.
On November 9, 2024, we get to add “got married” to that list of things we have done together and we truly can’t wait!
