Mason and Hannah met on October 4th of 2021 the same way many of the kids these days do...on Hinge, a dating app. Hannah was on a dating spree that included four dates in one week, and Mason was lucky date number three. They met at Buckhead Bar & Grill in Newport, KY. Hannah first noticed his handsome voice and charming personality, and Mason was attracted to her smile and ability to somehow talk more than him, which is a tough feat.

Things moved quickly after that! Mason asked Hannah to be his girlfriend October 29th, and he said he waited as long as he could so he didn't come across eager. Hannah thought it was fast, but she was so happy with Mason and had never found someone she could be so comfortable around.

Mason said "I love you" first when ending a phone call on December 8th, which took Hannah by immense surprise. Not because he said it so soon, but because she felt it too! Although, she is a much more reserved person with her emotions and waited two days to say it back.

As some of you may know, the start of 2022 had a terrible start. Mason's dad passed suddenly, which was incredibly tragic. It was a lot for Mason to go through, but working through his passing as a couple made the two of them inseparable. Hannah had only met Richard Lanthorn a few times, and Mason got some of his best qualities (including his tiny butt lol).

Mason and Hannah spent a lot of time getting to know each other's friends and families. Somewhere along the line, their way of communication changed and they started adding "bd" to the end or middle of words. Anyone who knows Hannah and Mason well know that this language is contagious and ridibulous.

Mason proposed to Hannah on August 6th, 2022 at her late grandmother's lake cottage in Warsaw, IN. Hannah thought they were taking pictures on the sea wall during sunset before dinner, but Mason had other plans. She was so surprised when he popped the question - she said she might throw up...in a good way!! It was an incredibly special weekend for the both of them because the cottage holds a special place in Hannah's heart. Her grandma Ellabarger was one of her favorite people, and Hannah wishes she could have met Mason.

Mason's story took a turn with a seizure in late November of 2022, and he was soon diagnosed with a brain tumor. Hearing the words come out of the ER doctor's mouth, "You have a large brain tumor, Mason," was earth shattering for Hannah. Mason stayed positive and has handled every day since like a rockstar. He underwent a craniotomy for tumor removal in December, and then started proton therapy radiation in late February 2023. He will be starting chemotherapy around May and will undergo treatment for one year.

Despite multiple unexpected life events, Mason and Hannah have continued to live life to the fullest and face each day with positivity and hope for the future. They are so excited to get married and celebrate with friends and family! Mason and Hannah are firm believers in Jesus, and know that He will guide them and take care of them.

September 17th, 2023 will be an AWESOME day!! They cannot wait to see you all there and celebrate life, love, and goobiness.
