We met on a SHINE missions trip to Mwanza, Tanzania where we were spreading the good news of Jesus to the people there.

Over the next 3 years, any time Johnny was in the US, the crew would get together (Nina, Hannah, and Johnny) to hang out.

We went on our first official date! Then, on September 24th, he asked me to be his girlfriend.

Within five dates we knew we were going to get married. This picture is from a Lynx game where we surprised our friend Keta with the fact that we were now officially dating. This was a favorite date for both of us as after the game we got to walk around town and share the backstory of what God had been doing to bring us together.

We traveled back to Michigan for the weekend so Johnny and Hannah's family could meet.

We said goodbye as Johnny flew back to Kenya. We spent the next 3 months FaceTiming every day.

Reunited with my love! I (Hannah) flew by myself to Kenya for a two-week vacation to meet family and experience Kenya.

We got Engaged at the end of our Safari in Masai Mara.

After a LONG journey, Johnny's Visa was FINALLY approved! And he could come and visit the US for the first time in 18 months.
