The story of Johnny and Hannah would not be possible without Nina woven into it. Hannah and Nina met Johnny on the same day in Mwanza, Tanzania, and after that, they were bonded for life. Nina is a close friend and co-worker of Hannah's.

As the older sister to Hannah, Charlene has known her her whole life. They have journeyed many seasons together, including their years at Grand Rapids Community College, serving at church, and countless other things.

Jimmy is Johnny's younger brother, best friend, and ally in mischief… and the one who’s made life a wild adventure.

Johnny and Bree met post-high school and he has been a brother ever since. He is deeply valued as loyal friend, wise sounding board, wingman, business partner, confidante, and so much more.

Sammy is Johnny's Uncle, babysitter, and one of, if not our biggest, cheerleaders. I guess he can take some credit as his ministry (SHINE) is the reason we met.
