Natalie very well might be the other love of Hannah's life. Their moms were college roommates, and they grew up as "cousins." As a kid, seeing the Van Dykes was better than Christmas for Hannah. The memories are innumerable: Hannah has known Natalie since the day she was born. Because we grew up with only brothers, we made a childhood promise to be each others' Maids of Honor. Natalie is the most precious found family that Hannah could have ever prayed, wished for, or hoped for.

Hannah has known Abby since middle school. She grew up in Severna Park with Darius and Hannah. Hannah and Abby danced together in High School and quickly became best friends. Abby was there to watch Hannah and Darius' relationship go from friends to more and was the first to point out that Darius had a bit of a crush (as best friends do). They have been through hell and back (literally) with one another and are lifelong friends.

Katie is Hannah's cousin on her Dad's side. The only two girls in the family, Hannah and Katie, bonded as adults over their love of reality tv shows, Sauvignon Blanc, oysters, and being the most attractive Thorpes and became best friends. Katie brings Hannah back to earth and is the perfect Leo balance to her Cancer.

Allie and Hannah met at Vanderbilt while pursuing their Ph.D.s in cultural anthropology. They bonded over a love for anthropology, IPAs, and passion for bringing people together. They became each other's confidant and supporter. Allie is one of those people who is made of pure sunshine, and Hannah is blessed beyond words that she came into her life.

Sylvia and Hannah met as doctoral students at Vanderbilt. Despite Hannah's fear of bones and Sylvia's love for bones, they became fast friends. Hannah and Sylvia bonded over their love of fashion, girls nights, Van Morrison, and IPAs. Sylvia is one of Hannah's dearest and most trusted confidants.

Shannon and Hannah met in Nashville. Shannon, her boyfriend Uday, Darius, and Hannah became fast best friends. Hannah and Shannon bonded over love of interior design, navigating the chaos of life, and their dads' passion for Michigan football. Shannon's loving spirit brightens Hannah's mood and gives her a model of kindness to strive for every day!

Maddy and Hannah were college roommates and best friends. We knew we were meant to be when we arrived with the same tapestries the first day of move in. Through adopting a flea-ridden cat from a trailer to camping in the woods with wild animals to traveling to Scotland and almost getting stranded because of travel bans, Hannah and Maddy have been bound together since.

Zoe is Hannah's younger cousin! They grew up together, spending idyllic summers on Block Island, and visits in Baltimore. Hannah used to babysit Zoe over summers and is so proud of the woman Zoe has grown up to be.

Jeff and Darius met in middle school and bonded over their love of World War II planes. They remained best friends into high school and throughout college. Jeff and Darius have ushered each other through life's happiest moments and through its most profound challenges. Hannah also met Jeff during high school and is happy to have been stuck with him ever since.

Uday met Darius and Hannah one fated day at Bearded Iris Brewery. He and Darius became friends over Hannah's first year in Nashville, especially after Darius' move to Tennessee. Darius never would have expected to make a life-long friendship so immediately but could not imagine his life without Uday and his utter hilarity.

Joe and Hannah met when he started dating Natalie. They became close, as Joe was the other member of our "quarantine pod," where he witnessed the shenanigans and chaos of quarantine. He also helped raise Hannah's beloved dog, Bo. Joe and Darius met shortly after Darius and Hannah started dating. They bonded over a love of sports, fantasy football, and having to manage Natalie and Hannah's chaos.

Ryan is Hannah's younger brother and one of her best friends. It means the world that he is part of this day that means so much to her. Ryan and Darius look forward to becoming family and developing their relationship (even though Darius is an Ohio State fan).

Ryan is Darius' older brother (as if that was not obvious by their similar appearances). While they grew up in two different states, Ryan and Darius became close as adults and fostered their relationship as siblings and friends. Hannah has also been lucky to develop a relationship with Ryan and looks forward to having him as a brother-in-law and a very prepared uncle to her future kids.

Darius met Sam, visiting Jeff at Virginia Tech. They bonded over bourbon, weightlifting, and football. Despite Sam's unfortunate time deployed in South Korea, they stayed in touch and became close over the years. Sam, Darius, Jeff, and Hannah like to sit around with a beer and crack jokes until they feel sick.

Hannah met Srujan first, when he was visiting Vanderbilt to decide whether he would pursue his PhD there. When he enrolled and moved to Nashville in the fall, Darius and Srujan immediately became very close friends. They bonded over whiskey, video games, and most importantly their passionate love of dogs.
