Lucy and I became friends during our junior year of high school in Spanish class after discovering a mutual affinity for One Direction and Ed Sheeran. We quickly bonded over music, travel, and art. She's a fellow artiste and one of the first people I call or text when I need a sounding board. From our awkward high school selves to now my Maid of Honor, I'm so grateful to have had her by my side through so many phases of life!
Fun Fact about Lucy: We've now seen Ed Sheeran twice together!
Abby Mills - Matron of Honor
Without our mothers playing matchmakers, Abby wouldn't have become my oldest friend. We've seen each other at our most awkward moments (so it's a miracle that we're still friends). Abby is the friend you call when you need advice or a cheerful voice. She's one of the few who can keep me up late in deep conversation and is my biggest hype man, so expect her to bring you onto the dance floor.
Fun Fact about Abby: She once bought a last-minute flight just to spend 24 hours in Paris.
Shelby McConnell - Bridesmaid
Shelby and I had a class together freshman year at Lipscomb University, where we both strategically tried to sit next to each other on the second day because we secretly wanted to be friends with the other but didn't realize it. We lived together during college, were in the same "sorority," and even have a children's book we'd like to publish together someday.
Fun Fact about Shelby: In college, she got a concussion from hitting her head on the toilet paper dispenser in our suite's bathroom.
Jessica Vaughn - Bridesmaid
Jess is not only my sister-in-law but also one of my dearest friends. She's been a shoulder to cry on and helped celebrate big wins. She has been a role model and supporter through good, bad, and hard times. I'm incredibly grateful to have her as my bridesmaid!
Fun Fact about Jess: I helped set her and Evan up on their first date.
Abigail Nichol - Bridesmaid
I have the unique pleasure and joy of calling Abigail my soon-to-be sister-in-law (though she's already felt like family)! She brings creativity, originality, and passion to everything she does. Her support of and love for Sam and me has meant the world, and I'm thrilled we have a lifetime to continue to build on our friendship!
Fun Fact about Abigail: She has a background in theater and makes the most spectacular set props!
Nathan Nichol - Best Man
Nathan is my brother. I am stuck with him in that way, but I am so glad to have a friend like him. Since he graduated college especially, Nathan and I have continually grown closer, always willing to share everything going on in our lives with each other, good or bad. I am glad to call him a brother and the best man in my wedding.
Fun fact about Nathan: In high school he made a YouTube channel that received over 26 thousand subscribers, and millions of views - covering all things Rubix and puzzle cubing.
Cory Williams - Groomsman
I immediately knew I wanted to be friends with Cory the first time we met in college. I look up to him in is creative and musical ability, as well as the way that he treats everyone around him with kindness. I am privileged to have worked with him on every record that I have put out and am excited to continue our creative endeavors. We have also gotten quite into shooting film together recently, which has been a space for consistent deep and engaging conversations - I am thankful to have Cory as my friend and groomsman.
Fun Fact about Cory: He once accidentally became a reluctant getaway driver for a drug deal (ask him about it).
Jordan Henderson - Groomsman
Jordan and I met the first day of freshman year of college as we were moving into the same suite together. At that time I could never have guessed what a fast friend he would become in my life. Jordan and I have been through a lot of life together - from roommates to now long-distance friends - he is one of the most committed friends I have. Jordan is probably the hardest worker that I have ever met, always giving everything he does 150%, which also comes out in his relationships and his talents. I look forward to having him back in town for the wedding and am glad to call him one of my best friends and groomsmen.
Fun Fact about Jordan: He has hiked almost all of the White Mountains in New Hampshire where he lives.
Evan Vaughn - Groomsman
I've heard at least 10 people say "You marry the family" since Hannah and I started talking seriously about marriage. I think some of those people see this as something that we'd have to really "work on," but I feel fortunate that I have felt right at home in the Vaughn family from the moment I have met them. Evan has welcomed me as a member of the family, and I am excited to continue to grow our relationship into the future. I am glad to have Evan as a groomsman in our wedding and am glad to have someone in the family to exemplify a healthy marriage and parent.
Fun fact about Evan: He would never let on, but he is quite the guitar player. He's got chops!
