The bride and groom's love story is unconventional to say the least...

In Spring 2015, Haylee was Jacob's carhop at Sonic. Jacob did not know that Sonic carhops accepted tips. Jacob thought he was being overly generous by tipping a dime. Haylee was so underwhelmed by this interaction that she doesn't remember it to this day.

On May 31, 2015, Haylee noticed Jacob at a school event... Mostly, Haylee noticed Jacob's man bun. She crushed on him all night long... But, did she talk to him? Absolutely not. That would have made things too easy for everyone involved.

On June 11, 2015, Jacob and his best friend, Cullen, were bored and looking for a way to spend their time. Jacob mentioned that he met a pretty girl named Haylee at Sonic a few months before and Cullen knew exactly who he was talking about. They drove to Sonic and pulled into a stall. Cullen flagged Haylee down and talked to her for about 10 minutes. After Cullen and Haylee’s conversation ended, Cullen and Jacob drove off without ordering anything and without Jacob saying one word to Haylee.

Later that same day, Jacob followed Haylee on Instagram and sent her a picture of his shoe with the caption, “You were the one that me and Cullen were talking to at Sonic, right? Want to go to dinner sometime?”.

On June 15, 2015, Jacob and Haylee went on their first date and they haven't really stopped hanging out since.

As of 2023, Haylee and Jacob have been together for 8 years. They have four fur-babies: Gregory Drexler, Penny Drexler, Mom Drexler, and Baby Drexler. They have supported each other through years and years and YEARS of school. Haylee is now a traveling emergency department nurse studying to take the entrance exam to get into medical school and Jacob is now a mechanical engineer working for GE Appliances. They have built a home together in Kentucky, but they LOVE to explore new places together. They have been to 22 countries and 24 US states so far! They are each other's emergency contact, so marriage was obviously the next step, right??? Okay... That was a joke! They are actually getting married because Haylee turns 26 in 2023 and needs to piggyback off of Jacob's health insurance policy ;-).
