Q + A

Will You Be Paying For My Plane Ticket?

No. Unfortunately, the couple does not have the funds to pay for the entirety of Healy's family for their travel from America, stay in Denmark, and return trip. Expenses related to stay, travel, and amenities will fall upon the guests who choose to make the trip.

How Can I Go If I Cannot Fly Out To Denmark?

We shall arrange for a live stream during the ceremony which can be played either on a phone or computer from anywhere in the world. We hope that this allows for those both near and far who cannot make the trek to feel both included and valued.

How Can I Get Around?

Denmark has a punctual and functional system of intercity planes, busses, and trains which can help you to get around! If you would like to arrange for a car rental, I would ensure that your driver's license is valid in Europe as there may be certain additional tests which you need to pass. There is even a ferry which shall take you to Sweden if you wish it, which has gorgeous skiing opportunities to enjoy.

What is the Schengen Area?

When someone enters a country in the Schengen Area, the 180-day period starts. They can enter Schengen area countries as many times as they want, but only stay for a total of 90 days, every 180 days. A Schengen visa is generally valid for every country in the Schengen area. The Schengen Area is comprised of 29 countries containing Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. Meaning this trip can include all of them too!

How Can I Get a USA Passport in Time?

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/get-fast/passport-agencies/detroit.html It will cost money, but honestly in today's political climate it might be good to have a passport on hand.

What if I Want to Bring an Infant to the Ceremony

We ask that infants and toddlers who are at a level where their noise is disturbing the ceremony are to be brought outside and to be given time to calm down. We find this to be the kindest solution to everyone - especially for those who are hard of hearing and may not be able to understand what is happening during the ceremony with the white noise. We shall endeavor to have coloring pages and silent toys at the ready for the youngest members of the family.
