Heath and Kayla met in the summer of 2022 when Kayla began working at Bergmann, now Colliers Engineering and Design. They had minor interactions as their jobs crossed paths, but it was not until the summer of 2024 when they became friends. Later that year, they went on their first date and both immediately knew that this would blossom into something beautiful. In January of 2025, Kayla moved in. In March, they took a trip to Sedona, Arizona where they met up with Heath's brother Grant and sister-in-law Sunny. On March 29th, on a beautiful, semi-chilly morning, the group of four went for a sunrise hike. They climbed up a portion of Bell Rock to find the *perfect* sunrise spot and Heath asked Kayla to marry him.
