Our Wedding

Heath and Kayla met in the summer of 2022 when Kayla began working at Bergmann, now Colliers Engineering and Design. They had minor interactions as their jobs crossed paths, but it was not until the summer of 2024 when they became friends. Later that year, they went on their first date and both immediately knew that this would blossom into something beautiful. In January of 2025, Kayla moved in. In March, they took a trip to Sedona, Arizona where they met up with Heath's brother Grant and sister-in-law Sunny. On March 29th, on a beautiful, semi-chilly morning, the group of four went for a sunrise hike. They climbed up a portion of Bell Rock to find the *perfect* sunrise spot and Heath asked Kayla to marry him.

Our Story

Nathan and Heath have been lifelong friends, dating back to the second grade. Having shared a childhood full of mischief together, they continue to look out for each other to this day. Every year they take a motorcycle trip, just the two of them, and through this they have traveled to almost every part of the Upper Peninsula.

Jess and Kayla have been friends since middle school. Throughout all of their life changes, college, living in different states, etc. they have maintained a very special friendship. Jess has been Kayla's rock all along the way, always offering a supportive, loving, and helping hand.

Jessica Walker

Grant is Heath's older brother. Through a childhood full of mischief and broken windows, they have formed a loving and supportive friendship in adulthood. They have had many adventures together while traveling within the U.S. and abroad.

Grant Farrelly

Sunny is Heath's sister-in-law via Grant. She came into Heath's life over 10 years ago when her and Grant were dating. Sunny has always been a big supporter of Heath, and she is quick to keep him and Grant in line. As a successful photographer, Sunny ecstatically agreed to capture Heath's proposal to Kayla.

Sunny Rajabi

Kody is Kayla's twin brother. Throughout their childhood, teen years, and into adulthood they have shared many milestones, hobbies, and good times together. Kody has always been one of Kayla's biggest supporters and most cherished friendships.

Kody Hawley

Tessa is Kayla's sister-in-law via Kody. Kayla has known Tessa since her and Kody began dating in 2018. After wanting a sister for so long, Kayla cherishes the friendship her and Tessa have formed.

Tessa Hawley

Lee is Heath's younger brother. Alongside his older brothers, he joined in on some of the mischief. In adulthood, Lee is hardworking and has leant a helping hand many times when Heath needed it. They enjoy catching up and sharing stories when Heath visits their hometown.

Lee Farrelly

Tori and Kayla went to Kent State University together where they both graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Throughout their time there, they built a friendship that included enduring long nights in the studio, wonderful adventures in Europe, and living together as roommates for several semesters. 

Tori King

Wren is Kayla's niece, and the daughter of Kody and Tessa. She will be three when Heath and Kayla say "I Do".
