Christopher and I have known each other since we were 14, he basically had a crush on or dated every one of my friends and finally after like 15 years he settled for me. I showed him how great the city was and soon he left his beloved suburbs and PET SNAKE to move to Chicago. He claims it was "easier to get to work" but it was a pandemic and he wasn't going anywhere. So my precious cat and I moved in with him into his 800 sq ft studio apartment, and we all survived. The rest is history :)

Heather and I have known each for nearly 20 years.....while it is true, I did crush on or date many of her friends, it really was just part of my two decade long plan to finally win her over :) My sister even tried to convince Heather to date me in which Heather replied "hard pass" but at that point it was far too late....20 years of work was about to come to fruition and a few short months later we were dating. While I did eventually move to the city and Heather will claim it was because of her (part of it was), but it was mostly because I knew I would be at CDW long term and wanted a less stressful commute. In fact, it was about the same time driving away from her in city as it was in the suburbs so that theory is void :) COVID forced a quick move together into my 800sq ft apartment. It certainly tested the limits of our relationship, but we powered through and eventually found a bigger apartment to rent in Uptown. After falling in love with the neighborhood, Heather found our current Uptown condo that we purchased together, and have made it our own beautiful little home :)
