Well, you see what happened wassssss....
After numerous attempts to get Heather to go on a date with him, she finally said okay... but very sternly said "Its not a date"!! They met at the Draft for food and drinks in Concord... dont judge!! The Not-A-Date seamlessly blended into a date when they went to Tandys down the street to dance!
Unkowningly, that night was when they both realized that they were each others person!
The ease of conversation, the belly laughs and the never ending sarcasm....and Stevens dance moves is what prompted the conversation of "we should hang out again." The result, was a trip to the beach the next day and since then they have been inseperable!
Heather and Steven spent their whole summer between the Tiki hut, up north and going on adventures with Grey. The Tiki is where many conversations, funny to sad to happy and many about the future took place. From homemade movie nights to song and dance sessions with the family.
Their first time up north together was one for the books. Steven had passed the test with Heather's Dad so of course the next step was to bring him up north, a special place that not everyone gets to visit. They’ve made so many wonderful memories since then, and there are even more exciting adventures waiting for them!
The first day that Steven brought Grey to meet Heather, they went to a fun arcade in Hooksett. She knew she would love that little man for the rest of her life when he started busting out dance moves in the parking lot! If you know Grey...it takes him a little while to warm up to people. When Steven came back to Heather's house after bringing Grey home, he told her that Grey talked about her the whole way home and wanted to know when they would see her again. From that point, she knew that her and Grey would be best friends!
Society seems to have "rules" of when to date, how long to date before saying "I Love You", when to propose after so many years of dating, etc. And to many they may have looked at these two and thought "well that was quick" or "how long have they been together?" What you dont see are two people who truly just get each other.
Two people who laugh and giggle like kids all while roasting eatch other with sarcasm.
Two people who truly admire each other and support each other.
Two people head over heals in love with each other, whose love grows stronger every day.
Two people who are experiencing peace and calm in a healthy realtionship.
Two people who are doing things in their timeline and not someone elses!!
So though Heather and Steven knew in the begining that they were "stuck with each other" for the rest of their living, Heather had no idea that December 31st, 2024 would be the day that Steven would officially ask her to be his wife! With alot of love, preperation and help from family and friends, Steven created the most beautiful proposal. There was not a dry eye in that cabin! Not only did she say "Yes!" to Steven, she said yes to being the bonus mom to the funniest and sweetest little boy! Some details of the most heartfelt memories are best kept to the company that was present, but with that being said, It was the BEST surprise that Heather had ever gotten.
Since the proposal, there has been wedding planning galore! Their story is far from over and they have so many adventures waiting for them!
They appreciate every single one of you that has taken the time out of your busy lives to celebrate with them on their special day!
See you July 25th, 2025!
