Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

All in one location! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held on-site at The Upchurch in Apex, NC. The ceremony will be held on the Magnolia Lawn, with cocktail hour happening inside of the Main House, and the reception moving to the Conservatory. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the Conservatory.

How do we get there?

We recommend using Uber or Lyft, ride-share services, or riding with another guest attending the wedding! If you are driving yourself, or the driver of the party, please remember there are only 75 on-site parking spots in the main parking lot with one parking attendant. If needed, the car may sit overnight after the event but needs to be picked up the following morning by 10am!

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm! Please arrive at least 15-30 minutes prior to in order to adequately have time to park, use the restroom if needed, and find your seat.

Is there a dress code?

YES! We want our guests to "dress to impress"! We require all guests to wear BLACK, as we are doing a formal, black-tie theme. Women should be dressed in black PLAIN (no sparkles please) dresses (Lulu's and Pinterest are great help for ideas!), and men in suits or tuxedos. The tuxes don't have to be black on black - just look nice!! Here's a Pinterest mood board for the dress code: https://pin.it/3sZJBmSSf

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

We are having an "unplugged" ceremony which means no phones, photos, or cameras! We kindly ask that all guests adhere to and follow this to be completely present during our special time. Our hired professionals will be in charge of taking photographs and videos during this time, as well as ensuring no other photos are being taken. Please feel free to take all of the photos after the ceremony is complete!

Can I bring a guest?

Unless previously specified on your formal invitation, we respectfully request that you do not bring a guest. We only allocate seating and arrangements for those who RSVP. We appreciate your understanding!

Are children allowed?

To allow all of our guests the opportunity to celebrate without little eyes and ears, we politely request no children so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening! No children under the age of 16 will be able to attend the wedding due to venue rules as The Upchurch is a Wake County Historical Property! We hope you understand our decision to make our wedding child-free and appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time to celebrate with us.

Is smoking allowed at The Upchurch?

Per their facility requirements, The Upchurch is a smoke-free facility except in areas designated for smoking. If you choose to smoke, please do it in these areas away from food, beverage, and other guests. However, we prefer that our wedding be smoke free!

What is the closest airport & lodging to the venue?

The closest airport you should fly into, if needed, is Raleigh-Durham International Airport. The closest hotels to the venue will be located under the "Travel" tab. Guests are allowed to stay wherever they'd like, however the hotels listed are those closest to the venue. There isn't a room block so feel free to pick your favorite place to stay!

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! The bar is on us, and the hangover is on you - time to celebrate!!

Is there a transaction fee for the cash fund registry?

Yes - there is a 2.5% transaction fee required by credit card companies for every complete purchase. Don't let this deter you, though! This transaction fee is typically less expensive than the taxes and shipping costs associated with a physical gift. Plus, a 2.5% transaction fee is actually the lowest you'll find anywhere—we've checked. If the rate ever changes, The Knot will cover the costs, so guests will only ever pay 2.5%. (The Knot, 2023).

What if I want to contribute to your registry a different way digitally?

We’d like to first thank you for even considering gifting towards our amazing and most special day, honeymoon, and future home, and we’ve got the right answer for you! We also have Venmo (@halbal96) or CashApp (@HeatherrAlexis). We thank you so much!

When is my RSVP due? What if I miss the deadline?

Your RSVP is due no later than August 25, 2025! Please note we will be sending out email reminders to ensure you all don’t forget! ☺️ If you miss the deadline and have not communicated with us regarding your attendance, unfortunately we cannot accommodate the guest count. Our catering and planning team has a due date for us with final guest count so it is imperative you help us get your name added in time!! 🩷

What if I have special dietary restrictions/requests?

That’s no problem! Please ensure you write that on your RSVP when filling it out and we will reach out to you personally!
