Our Story

Once upon a summer, in the charming town of Sturgeon Bay, Wi, two souls found themselves on separate vacations, unknowingly on a collision course that would change their lives forever. Little did they know that the quaint beauty of Door County would be the backdrop for a love story written in the stars.

My name is Heather, and I remember the day vividly. It was a warm afternoon, and I decided to explore the scenic trails of Sturgeon Bay. Hiking has always been my escape, a way to connect with nature and clear my mind. On that fateful day, little did I know that my heart was about to take an unexpected turn.

Meanwhile, George, a tech enthusiast with a love for kayaking and music, was also drawn to the natural wonders of Door County. As fate would have it, our paths crossed on one of those hiking trails. It was as if the universe conspired to bring us together.

We struck up a conversation, initially about our love for the outdoors, but as the day unfolded, we discovered a deeper connection. Surprisingly, our shared passion for Lutheran theology became a powerful bond that brought us closer. There was something magical about the way our interests aligned, intertwining our lives in a way that felt predestined.

As our vacation continued, George and I explored Door County hand in hand, discovering its enchanting lighthouses. The towering structures became symbolic of our growing connection, guiding us towards a shared future. Little did we know that these lighthouses would become a recurring theme in our journey.

Our love blossomed, and as we spent those days immersed in laughter and shared dreams, it became evident that we were meant to be more than vacation companions. The time came when George, with his tech-savvy charm, surprised me with a proposal under the soft glow of the Cana Island Lighthouse. It was a moment frozen in time, a promise of a lifetime filled with love and adventure.

Now, as we stand on the threshold of forever, planning our wedding, we hold true to the values that brought us together. Despite our different professional paths—me as an advertising consultant and George as a tech bro—we are united in our commitment to honor the Lord in every step of our journey.

We haven't moved in together yet, choosing to savor the anticipation of creating a home where our love can flourish. It's a testament to our shared values and the respect we have for the sanctity of marriage. As we look ahead, we eagerly anticipate the joy of building a family, guided by the same principles that brought us together.

Our story is a testament to the beauty of unexpected connections and the profound love that can grow from shared dreams. We invite you to join us on this incredible journey as we say "I do" and embark on a lifetime of exploring the lighthouses of love, hand in hand, in the picturesque landscapes of Door County and beyond.
