Even though there isn't a home game taking place the weekend of our wedding, a tour of one of Florida's beautiful campuses is always fun to take in. Also, it's pretty much the heart and landmark of Gainesville Not to mention, our ceremony venue is on campus already so no need to wonder where to go. GO GATORS!

Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park

One thing North and Central Florida are known for are their vast sinkholes. The Devil's Millhopper is a bowl-shaped cavity, 120 feet deep that leads down to a miniature rain forest. Small streams trickle down the steep slopes of the limestone sinkhole, disappearing through crevices in the ground.

Ichetucknee Springs State Park

If you don't mind a little drive further North, the "Springs" are a fun and beautiful place to canoe, kayak, snorkel, swim, or watch wildlife.

Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park

Another fun and outdoorsy park to explore is Paynes Prairie. There are 8 trails with plenty of gators and wildlife to see.

Florida Museum of Natural History

Not the Outdoorsy type but still want to learn more about the outdoors? Visit the Florida Museum of Natural History. Learn more about different flora, fauna, fossils and historic peoples of the state of Florida. They also have a Butterfly Rainforest and a huge fossil Mammoth in their main gallery.

Harn Museum of Art

Want to explore your cultured side? Visit the Harn Museum of Art right down the road from our ceremony venue. The museum is a big part of the university with plenty of exhibition space and 5 garden spaces to peruse through.
