You can fly in/out of the Athens International Airport. The venue and surrounding area are a 25 minute drive (approx.) from the Athens airport.
The airport has transportation options for all budgets:
Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside of the arrivals terminal. Taxi fares to and from the Athens airport are flat rates. These rates are per taxi, not per person, and include everything (airport surcharge, meter start, toll fees, luggage fees, VAT). Do not get scammed! "Regular fares" are between 5:00 AM - 12:00 AM and "night fares" are between 12:00 AM - 5:00 AM.
Uber app: You can reserve/request a taxi through the Uber app in Athens
Metro: Take Metro Line 3 (Aghia Marina – Douk. Plakentias - Athens International Airport). Trains run every 30 minutes, 7 days a week from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. and travel time is about 40 minutes to Syntagma Station (in the heart of the city).
24-express buses: If you land at an off-peak time and want to keep costs down, there are bus routes that can get you into town. Head to a kiosk for more info. Journey times are around roughly an hour.
After the wedding, you can fly to other destinations within Greece or Europe from this airport as well (or travel by car/boat/train!).
There are many ways to get the south of Athens. Taxis, Uber Taxi, and metro are all possible transportation options.
However, since Uber is not available in the Athens Riviera (where our venue is located), there is a taxi app called FreeNow that you can use. It is very similar to Uber and will let you request taxis via the app. There will also be taxis accessible everywhere too - but they are cash only so be prepared!
Taxis are the most practical method of transportation in and around Athens. You can order a taxi through apps like Uber or Beat for quick booking and dependable pricing.
For travel inside of Athens, the metro is also a great and affordable option and is easy to navigate.
