Update: I spoke to Jeff (owner) and he is holding 36 sleds / rides for us until mid Nov only for following days and times: 1/25 10 and 1; 1/27 930 and 1; 1/28 10am; 1/29 10 and 1; and 1/30 10 and 1. Please call and leave a message for Jeff and say that you are with “Heidy” McWhorter party and want to reserve a dog sled ride - specify morning or afternoon and how many people will be riding/ mushing. He has 4 sleds per time which hold 2 to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Prices are $200 pp and it is fabulous in Olney, MT (20 min from our cabin, Grouse MT Lodge and 30 min from Firebrand Hotel, 35 min from The Lodge at Whitefish Lake). Space is extremely limited so book in advance. He is already full for 1/26. The bride and groom plan to go 1/27 at 930am, but will be glad to join you anytime we can. Whomever is not riding can hang out in his cabin with cookies and coffee by the warm fire. You can also cross country ski across the road at Dog Creek while waiting.
Cross Country skiing and drinks and nibbles ... super pretty and fun. Just across the street almost from the Dog Sledding. So, those who can't dog sled can try out standing up cross country skiing :). Ski rentals and boots available on site for $20- $40.
Guests can drive into West Glacier all the way to Lake McDonald Lodge for views and cross country skiing or to East Glacier, which I will list in another thing to do.
