When is the RSVP deadline?

Please let us know whether or not you're going to make it before April 24!

What should I wear?

It’s the West Texas desert, where boots and jeans are fancy, and tuxedos are better suited for Dallas. Since we’ll be out in the heat, ladies, wear your best light dress and dancing boots, and gents, break out your sharpest bolo tie. We’re going for a semi-formal vibe, so let’s keep it polished—no shorts, tennis shoes, or anything you’d wear to a kid’s soccer game. We’d love to see everyone looking their best, so think fun spring colors, flowy dresses, and nice jackets. And if you’re really feeling the West Texas spirit, throw on a hat! Need some outfit inspiration? Check out the Pinterest board I put together for y’all!

Is there an entrance fee at the State Park?

Yes. The fee is $8 per person at the main entrance. Children under 12 enter for free.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive between 3:00-3:30 we ask guests to be seated by 3:50 as we will begin promptly. It takes about 5-10 minutes to get from the front entrance to the venue.

Where should I park?

There is ample parking right outside the pavilion!

Will there be alcohol?

Nope! We’ve decided to keep our wedding alcohol-free, but we’ll have plenty of delicious drinks and refreshments for everyone to enjoy. We will have tons of fun beverages such as lemonade, coffee, mocktails, and of course as much Texas Iced Tea as you can drink!

Will we be inside or outside?

The ceremony will be held outdoors, but don’t worry—we’ll keep it short! The reception and dinner will take place indoors, where we can enjoy some much-needed air conditioning. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we have the option to move the ceremony under a covered patio or indoors, ensuring everyone stays comfortable.

Are the kids welcome?

Yes! We know that traveling for a wedding can be challenging for parents, so we want to make sure the whole family feels included in our special day! We just ask that our younger guests do their best to stay quiet during the ceremony.

What else should I know about the State Park?

The Mack Dick Pavilion at Palo Duro Canyon is not a traditional wedding venue. As such, all guests must adhere to the park's rules and regulations, including guidelines on parking, wildlife protection, waste disposal, noise polution, etc. Please help us respect the natural environment and be mindful that certain amenities and conveniences of typical wedding venues may not be available. We will do our best to create a fun and inviting environment for this special day. Thank you for helping us celebrate while respecting this beautiful part of Texas!
