About Our Venue

The Gardens at Uncanoonuc Mountain The grounds have been nurtured for decades, and include an exquisite, formal Rose Garden enclosed by a custom wooden fence, an extensive Stroll Garden, gorgeous stone walls, woodland gardens, fruit trees, and access to mountain trails and wooded walks. We are a two minute drive from Goffstown Village and a 25 minute drive from the Manchester airport. Named after the mountain upon which The Gardens rest, you will be welcomed into a fantastic history! Goffstown and the Uncanoonucs were once home to several grand hotels. Vacationers would come up from Massachusetts to enjoy the quieter pace of life while they skied, hiked, dined, and danced. Then, for nearly forty years, Uncanoonuc Mountain Perennials proved to be a destination for garden enthusiasts everywhere. Now, in the next chapter, The Gardens at Uncanoonuc Mountain is meant to be a new way to appreciate the beloved gardens created by Uncanoonuc Mountain Perennials as well as the natural splendor of the mountainside.

Our Wedding

Their story began in 2012 when Helen and Landen met at work, although their paths had nearly crossed many times before, like an invisible string tying them together. One vivid memory is of Helen's chorus class singing Christmas carols to Landen's Latin class in high school. From the moment they officially met, there was an undeniable connection. Helen knew immediately that Landen was her soulmate, while Landen quickly realized she was "the one" because being with her felt like coming home.

Their journey from best friends to partners was filled with countless "first dates" that weren't officially called dates. They loved spending time together, laughing, singing in the car, and enjoying meals at Red Robin. Their first real official date was unforgettable. On the Lover's Bridge in Providence, RI, Landen asked Helen to be his girlfriend, marking the beginning of their relationship. Landen, who had been giving Helen little rocks and crystals since they met, gave her a rock that said "Forever" to ask her to be his girlfriend.

In the early days of their friendship, they spent their time making each other laugh, driving around with music blasting, and indulging in their favorite Thai food. Their bond grew stronger with each shared moment and adventure. They share a love for the same music, relaxing, traveling, and cats. Their travels have taken them to exciting destinations like Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Aruba, Long Island, and Florida. Each trip created memories like snorkeling, seeing the Everglades, taking a helicopter over the Grand Canyon, and many more! One special memory is from their trip to Florida, where they visited a cat café and ended up adopting their cat, Kali, and flying her home at the end of the trip.

Landen's proposal was nothing short of magical. On November 15, 2023, he took Helen to Dandelion Park in Marshfield, a place chosen because "Dandelions" by Ruth B. is one of their favorite songs. There, a photographer captured the moment amidst a heart-shaped arrangement of rose petals, candles, and photos of them together. In luminaries, Landen had spelled out "Will You Marry Me?" It was a complete surprise and a moment they'll cherish forever.

Helen and Landen love making each other laugh, having fun together, and going on adventures. Landen enjoys playing board games with Helen, even though it's not her favorite activity, while Helen loves sharing her grocery 'hauls' with Landen, even though it's not his favorite. Landen's favorite thing to do is make Helen laugh, and his favorite thing about her is her beautiful smile. Helen's favorite thing to do together is traveling, and her favorite thing about him is that he always makes her laugh.

As they look to the future, Helen and Landen are excited about spending a lifetime together as best friends. They dream of more travels and creating countless memories filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Their journey has just begun, and they can't wait to see where it takes them.

We want to celebrate with you!

We decided that we wanted this day to be about celebrating with our friends and family. We didn't want them to have to worry about what to buy, where to stand, where to sit, or missing out on amazing food and drinks to take wedding pictures. So with that said, we will not be having a wedding party because, everyone at this wedding is near and dear to our hearts that we just want them to enjoy and have fun!
