As much as we would love to have all of you present, we understand that not everyone may be able to travel to Florida due to a number of reasons. Please let us know if you have specific travel questions (or check out the travel tab!) and let us know how we can help you. Even if you cannot make it, please let us know on the RSVP when we send out invitations so that we can adjust numbers accordingly for vendors.Whether you can make it or not, we love you all so much anyways and look forward to celebrating in April with everyone no matter if you're near or far!

Our Wedding

Jakob would say our story started freshman year of college when he already knew he wanted to marry me. I say that's false since we never even talked to each other until sophomore year, let alone I hardly knew who he was as a freshman. So I would say our story started around Christmas of sophomore year, although I suppose it technically started in the fall when we would hangout together among friends at rowing parties and studying in Ryan Hall. After a few months of intermittent hangouts and a dedicated snapchat streak, the annual rowing ugly Christmas sweater party rolls around. My teammate Megan and I thought we would be original by pasting copies of our faces on each other's sweaters. I decided to take it one step further and glue a hilarious picture of Jakob's face under Megan's face, allowing me to flash the crowd with his face when I lifted the cutout of Megan. So I did just this and roasted Jakob in front of all his friends at the party. Apparently, he interpreted this as me flirting with him…don't know where he got that idea from. He then decided to make his move with some phenomenal dance skills and we ended up hanging out till 5am that night. A few more late nights like this then we parted for winter break. I still wasn't convinced anything was going to become of us, until the rowing formal two months later. It was that night we decided to make things official. However, I told him we should wait two weeks before telling anyone, especially my dad (our coach!), just to give us a chance to feel things out. Well, guess who panic walked into my dad's office immediately after morning practice the next day - Jakob. So guess who had to nervously walk into his office that afternoon because Jakob blew our plan of telling him together - me. Obviously he gave him the scared talk but it didn't keep Jakob away. Six months later, late at night Teagan, Jakob, and I were walking back to the dorms, and without even asking, Jakob put an exhausted half-asleep Teagan to bed in his own room and sets us up on the couches. It was that moment that I knew he would not only always respect me, but always put my family first too. We said I love you that night. We have now been dating for 5 years and have survived college, rowing, med school, and long distance together. We also adopted Lilly (our ball-obsessed golden retriever) in the fall of 2020! On February 8th, 2023, Jakob (once again) panic proposed to me 3 days ahead of schedule. I was so stunned that I couldn't say anything until we got in the car and he goes "so is that a yes?" ...oops. Took me quite a while to get planning given that he proposed to me right before starting my third year of med school, but now that we've got the ball rolling we're excited to celebrate with you all next April! We don't know where our story will take us, and we will quite literally find out in March where we will be moving to for residency, but we know that as long as we are together, we can turn any new adventure into a fun time and hope that we can always count on you all to be there with us ☺

What to Wear

Gentlemen

Formal or semi-formal attire. This includes tuxes, suits, and sports jackets. Given that our wedding is in Florida and we want everyone to be comfortable, men are also permitted to wear nice slacks or khakis and a collared shirt as long as you are not in the wedding party. Please no jeans, casual attire, or flip flops (hide those dogs until the party really starts)

Ladies

Garden formal or semi formal attire. Gowns, cocktail dresses, nice pantsuit, and long floral dresses or skirts. Please no casual attire such as jeans, shorts, or short skirts. White is reserved for the bride. Thank you!

After-Party

We plan to end the night with a pool party so feel free to bring along your favorite swim suit or just jump in the pool in your clothes! We won't judge ;) Otherwise if you're hanging around later into the night feel free to change into comfy clothes and enjoy the evening.

Getting There

MCO is ~90min from Vero Beach. This is the airport we always use to travel there as it usually has the cheapest flights. If possible, we recommend coordinating flights with other guests so you can share the cost of a rental car. If the majority of guests happen to be arriving around the same time, we may try to arrange a carpool. <a href="https://www.smartshuttleline.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://www.smartshuttleline.com/</a>This shuttle service will take you from MCO to Vero Beach.There are also greyhound bus options available.

Orlando International Airport

If flying into MCO, there are multiple options to get to Vero Beach including car rentals($$-$$$), Greyhound($), shuttle buses($), and private car services ($$-$$$). Once in Vero Beach, you can use a rental, Lyft, Uber, or public transportation to get around. Depending on where you stay you can also walk around downtown or beachside, and anywhere in Vero is a short bike ride away.

Ground transport 

PBI is ~80min from Vero Beach. We have never used this airport, but it may also have more affordable flights compared to the smaller local airports.

Palm Beach International Airport

MLB is ~50min drive from Vero Beach. Flights will probably be more expensive as it is a smaller airport.

Melbourne Orlando International Airport
