The wedding will be at 7500 ft (2285m) of elevation! This has a few implications. First, EVERY DRINK YOU HAVE WILL FEEL LIKE TWO DRINKS! This is very important if you're coming from sea level. It will be very important to stay hydrated, so drink lots of water while you're here. Second, this will exacerbate any pre-existing health conditions you have. If you have pre-existing health conditions or other concerns, text Kevin and we will do everything we can to help you attend!
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and reception will be indoors. The weather is highly variable in September, so check the weather early and often before you pack, and be prepared for either very hot or very cold temperatures.
What should I wear?
If you're looking at an item and saying "I love this, but I don't want to upstage the bride," THAT'S WHAT YOU SHOULD WEAR! We are lucky to have such good looking friends and family, and we want everyone to feel free to show off.
If the above doesn't resonate with you, dark suit and dress shoes (no sneakers) is the vibe for guys, and cocktail/evening gowns is the vibe for women.
When should I book flights?
If you know you're going and who your travel party is, feel free to book now! Optional events will run from the welcome party on 9/6 afternoon to a farewell brunch on 9/8 morning.
When should I book accomodations?
Now! The Stanley Hotel has a number of different lodging types, including traditional hotel rooms and (highly recommended) condos! The condos (known as The Residences on the Stanley booking site) have 1, 2, and 3-bedroom options. Text Kevin if you have questions and feel free to coordinate amongst yourselves.
