Holly and Cam met back in July 2021 on a dating app (Bumble). How original! Before meeting in person, Holly and Cam were "pen pals" for a while as Cam was visiting his friends and family in Port Perry. Cam was impressed by Holly's willingness to wait a few weeks before meeting while Holly was impressed by Cam's long, and thoughtful responses. Even while messaging each other, they knew something felt special.

After meeting in person, it was Holly's turn to make Cam wait. She had a trip planned to PEI. Cam patiently waited for Holly to return and after a few sunset paddle dates, and a hike, both Holly and Cam felt something very special. The effortlessness and ease of being with each other was comforting and just felt right.

Holly moved in with Cam after a year with her two cats, Maple and Sugar. Cam instantly fell in love with these felines and accepted all of Holly's decorating changes...a bachelor pad no more! Cat hair flying, plants everywhere, candles burning, "ugly" things were stored away or thrown out and replaced by prettier, girly decor. Holly felt right at home and Cam accepted the changes with a bright smile.... most of the time.

A trip to Europe was booked for the summer of 2023 which led to a perfect proposal on a secluded hike in Switzerland. Cam got down on one knee while Holly started preparing the picnic. Holly assumed Cam was exhausted after the long hike, however, Cam was indeed proposing. Holly covered her mouth in disbelief and didn't hesitate to say yes! She was overjoyed. They made their way down to a beautiful hotel overlooking Lake Lucerne to celebrate with drinks.

It was not an easy journey for Holly and Cam to find each other, but it was certainly worth the wait!
