If you have some time before or after the wedding, downtown Eagle is worth a visit. It is a small, walkable town with a handful of restaurants, coffee shops, and antique stores to poke around in. If you are nearby on a Saturday morning, the farmers market is a nice way to spend an hour or so — with live music, local produce, and lovely handmade goods.
There is a small footbridge that crosses the Boise River and connects to a quiet stretch of the Greenbelt if you feel like going for a short walk. Eagle Island State Park is just a few minutes away — it has open space, access to the river and watering holes, and sometimes even food trucks or small events. And if you're in the mood to unwind, there are a couple of day spas and wine tasting rooms nearby.

Fun spot for coffee, food and drink in Downtown Eagle
We recommend exploring the Boise Greenbelt, a section of the Boise River that extends from our wedding venue at Water's Edge in Eagle through downtown Boise and beyond.
There are many parks, cafes, and hotels extending the length of the river. Some of our favorite parks include Kathryn Albertson and Ann Morrison Parks. The Sandbar Patio Bar & Grill in the Riverside Hotel has a great patio with a live band and great drinks!
Downtown offers many great restaurants and walkable streets. We enjoy dining at Bardenay, watching dueling pianos at The Brickyard, and playing pool at Tiner's Alley after a day of walking through the parks and downtown streets.
