We met through our friend, CeCe, about six years ago. We painted a wine glass and beer mug (pictured above). We quickly realized we both love donuts and have similar senses of humor and became friends. After a year or so of being friends, we nearly started a relationship but ended up going our separate ways.

We both must have had regrets because three years later we reconnected. We hadn't kept in touch as much over the years, but on our first date, it was like we had hung out just days ago. Everything easily fell into place and felt like we needed to give this a shot.

Months passed and it was still easy. After almost a year, we decided to take a big step and move in together. Michael went from living with his cat to now having two kids and a dog added. He embraced the chaos and not only grew a relationship with Hope but also with Jude and Hazel.

Then November 19, Michael proposed with Jude and Hazel's permission because they are the biggest parts of our life. Hazel will tell you all, Michael did not get down on one knee until she made him.

We cannot wait for our family and friends to be a big part of our day. We knew pretty early in our relationship that this day would eventually come.
