They first met in 5th grade but after a little misunderstanding (who doesn’t love fifth grade rumors) that became just a blip in their history. They knew of each other through high school but ultimately had different classes and friend groups so they never got to know each other better. Fast forward a few years and they reconnect thanks to Facebook. For months it was just on and off texting for a day or two until Covid hit. It was Hunter’s last summer off in medical school and Guy had opted to go home and spend time with his family during the lockdown. They were able to meet up and went on a simple walk in the park (literally). From then on, they started seeing each other almost every day and Hunter spent the entire summer with him and his family. They got to know each other so well that year and it really built the foundation of their relationship. Once reality came crashing back Hunter went to finish school in Indianapolis and Guy returned to working in Columbus. They made the distance work during that time and alternated monthly trips to see each other of adventure out to Colorado for a weekend. They made the big jump in 2022 when we moved cross country together for Hunter’s residency in Pueblo, CO.
