Our favourite traditional Portugues fish restaurant in Alvor. Booking a few weeks in advance is essential. It's very simple and delicious. Stephen has a particular love for the Portuguese steak.

This holds a special place in our hearts, as it is where we got engaged. It is not child friendly, but if you've time, we would recommend the lunch sitting. Take a cab, and enjoy the a culinary experience, it is phenomenal.

The famous Benagil caves is a must do if you have a few hours to spare. You can see them by private boat, boat tours or kayak's.

Very close to the Ryan's heart is the very beautiful Porches pottery in Lagoa. Lovely for some lunch and pottery shopping.

This is a 6 hour hike along the coast. You can do as little or as much of it as you like. The views are breathtaking and lots of places to stop and have lunch, drinks & swims along the way. It is tough so would not recommend for the little ones.
