The closest airport is Faro with Alvor and the Penina Hotel only 45 min drive. You can rent a car or easily get a taxi or Uber.

Logistically, the Penina Hotel & Golf Resort will be the handiest place to stay because the Golf will be held on Thursday, the bus will be leaving from there to go to the wedding on Friday & day 2 will take place in a villa on the grounds (Los Lirios aka The Ryan's Villa).

Even though our wedding is child free we know some people will be making a holiday out of it with their little ones and Penina has a great kids club and babysitting options.

On the Penina estate there are options to rent apartments and villas if people are coming with families or want to all stay together.

Penina is about a 10min drive from Alvor the local fishing village where we will have welcome drinks on Thursday evening.

Alvor is also home to one of the longest beaches in the Algarve. It is about a 20 min drive from Lagos another beautiful traditional Portugues town. 15min drive from Feragudo beach and 20min from Carvoiero.

For those coming from Quinta do Lago, the Penina is about a 45/50min drive and 30min drive to our wedding venue.
