A yummy lively place for breakfast/brunch. It can be a bit busy, so you might want to call ahead. 7 minutes from the hotel.

First Watch

A classic greek diner open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a late night snack. India hung out here many times in highschool with her friends, and Phie and India now enjoy it as a casual brunch spot on weekends. 15 minutes from the hotel.

Minella's Diner

This is a fun Latin restaurant with good entrees and cocktails. They can get busy, so you might need a reservation. 10 minutes from hotel.

Paladar Latin Kitchen | King of Prussia

Good spot for dinner and drinks! India is a big fan of their bang bang shrimp :) 7 minutes from the hotel.

TJ's Restaurant and Drinkery

This garden inspired restaurant has a yummy menu with a really pretty ambiance. Their turn overs served in a plant pot are a cute little touch. 10 minutes from hotel.

Terrain

Our go to for Indian take out, although they also have some seating for eat in. If you're craving Indian, we'd reccomend this spot. 15 minutes from hotel.

Tiffin Indian Cuisine King Of Prussia

Straight forward and reasonably priced Mexican food. One of our go tos for dinner and a margharita :) 10 miuntes from hotel.

Plaza Azteca Mexican Restaurant · King Of Prussia

Chinese and Japanese food (including sushi) with sit down and take out options. 15 minutes from hotel.

Wild Rice Pan Asian Restaurant

Wawa is a Philly staple; imagine a Subway mixed with a 7-eleven except it’s clean and the food is actually good. If you’re on your way out of town and need to fill up the car and grab some snacks, or if you want a late night snack post-reception, this is it! Conveniently open 24 hours. This one is 12 minutes from the hotel, but there are two closer ones without gas.

The revolutionary army waited out the winter of 1777/1778 at the Valley Forge encampment. A great historical landmark, you can tour the house where Washington and his aides lived, visit the cabins soldiers lived in, take a hike, or just go on a beautiful drive. Fun fact, General Louis Lebègue Duportail stayed at Duportail house, at Benjamin Franklin's inviation, to serve as the continental army's Chief Engineer while they were encamped at Valley Forge. 5 minutes from hotel.

Valley Forge National Historical Park

If you are willing to make the drive, this is India and her mom, Sydney’s, favorite place to visit in the Philly area. This was the estate of Pierre Dupont, which has been maintained as a gorgeous garden, conservatory, fountain display, and historic house. You’ll feel like you’ve been transported into Versaille. Make sure to get tickets in advance. Also fun fact, this is where India and Phie took their engagemnt photos. 35 minutes from hotel.

Longwood Gardens

The KOP mall is the second largest in North America and has just about any store or type of restaurant you can think of. 8 minutes from hotel.

King of Prussia Mall

The Declaration of Independence was signed here, and the Constitution was debated and adopted here. You can see the room where the founding fathers sat and discussed how to build our new nation. Also right across the street is the Liberty Bell. 35 minutes from hotel.

Independence Hall

The art museum is a great place to visit, featuring American, East Asian, South Asian, and European art including textiles and costumes. These are also the famous steps from the Rocky movie. You'll also be right next to the beautiful boat houses on riverside drive. 30 minutes from hotel.

Philadelphia Museum of Art

Fun interactive science exhibits for kids (and adults :), and great traveling exhibitions. In June, the visiting exhibition will be Body Worlds: Vital. Growing up, India's favorite exhibit was the giant heart. 35 minutes from hotel.

The Franklin Institute

The Chester Valley walking and biking trail runs right behind the hotel. So if you're in the mood for a stroll, or you can't start your day without a morning run, then you're in luck! The trail is 18.6 miles in total; from the hotel it is 10 miles towards Exton and 8 miles towards King of Prussia.

If you want to get your hair done before the wedding, Dry Bar offers styling services in the Village at Valley Forge shopping center. 10 minutes from hotel.

If you want to get a mani pedi before the wedding, this is the place! India has been going to this salon since she moved to KOP. The owners Jimmy and Amy and their staff will take good care of you. 10 minutes from hotel.

Things to Do

Registry

India and Phie met at  Wesleyan University in Connecticut. We both joined Wesleyan’s fire spinning troop, Prometheus, our freshman year in the fall of 2018.

How We Met

India and Phie started dating Junior year (the covid year on campus) in 2020. Phie’s roommate Tyler was having an outdoor gathering, and this happened to be the night RBG died and a night when India had had a few cocktails. Long story short, India cried about RBG and Phie was very sweet about it. India started flirting with Phie at the party, and the next morning asked Phie on a date.

How We Started Dating

In the summer of 2022, we graduated from Wesleyan. That fall, we moved into our first apartment together in Cambridge, MA so Phie could get their Masters at MIT. 

Moving in Together

After Phie graduated from MIT, we decided to move back to the Philly suburbs where India grew up. 

Moving to Pennsylvania Together

In January of 2024, we adopted our two beautiful cats Mona Lisa (Mo) and Vinny, named after the movie My Cousin Vinny. They were born to feral parents in a vacant lot in Philly, and are very happy to be spoiled indoor cats.

Starting a Furry Family

We got engaged on a canal boat in Amsterdam in June 2024. Phie wears the literal pants in the relationship, so they proposed. But India wears the metaphorical pants, so she’d already designed her ring, booked the wedding venue, guessed when the proposal would happen, and picked the dress she wanted to get engaged in.
