“Anya and I met through middle school track and became instant friends. We have spent much time together, either commercial fishing together, or when she lived at my house, or going to camp together. “My name is Aleah Tompkins, I met Anya through YWAM. She blew me away upon arrival. I met her while staffing Heartbridge and became friends with her the next year as she joined the staff team. As a shy 13 year old, I remember instantly feeling so comfortable and at ease with her—which I’m sure so many others have experienced being around her as well! Sadly, I moved away from Alaska shortly after we met. However, we somehow found a way to stay connected, and she has become a long time, dear friend to me.
