Our Story

Picture of Home

I had a conversation not long ago about how for a lot of people, the story of how you met your spouse isn’t exactly exciting. For everyone who sat on their future wife’s lap on the bus to a baseball game, there’s many more who met through friends, or at a bar, or even just on hinge (like us).

Now - four years down the line and months away from our wedding - reflecting on our story, in a lot of ways it feels too big too tell. At the core its about two pretty quirky people who had crossed paths before but met when they were supposed to. It’s a story about learning to give and receive love, and working together to grow and set the foundation for a lifetime.

One of the first times Isabelle asked me why I love her, I was trying to come up with an answer that was cheesy enough without being something clearly pulled from a romantic comedy, and I ended up just saying it as plainly as I could - “you’re my home.” Now, when I think about what our story is and what it means, I think about the long path we took to find each other and reach this moment and the much longer path we’re about to set off on together.

I think of it all as a path to find our home with each other.

We are so incredibly excited for the rest of our life, and we cannot wait to celebrate the beginning with all of you - the people who laid the foundation of who we have become. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all youve given us and for joining us to celebrate.
