Yes, you read it right!

We are suprisingly that classic-yet-uncommon Tinder match that takes it to the next level; to marriage!

It was April, 7th 2019, circa one month before my doctor internship program was over, when I re-installed Tinder because I was harmlessly seeking someone to have conversation with. Oh, don't get me wrong, I've been on Tinder since 2017, but mostly it was for temporary agenda such as finding cullinary partners while I was travelling, or just someone to give me netflix/book/webtoon recommendations, or to talk about hobbies, etc. So at that moment, I thought it would be another 'temporary'.

Well, who would have thought that the temporary intention leads to something permanent?

It should have been an easy guess cause at the moment we matched, the chemistry sparked. The conversation just rolled naturally; from day to day in Tinder apps, it quickly jumped to personal chat (Whatssap, Line, iMessage -yes we pretty much tried everything). Soon, texts became phone calls; an hour phone calls became 3, 5, or even 6 hours (our personal records), and we also did video calls once in a while.

Yet, we had not actually met each other in person. 1 month after we got to know each other, I needed to get back to Pontianak because my work period in South Kalimantan had ended and during that time, we could not find the time to meet since we were pretty much 250km apart.

I was initially pessimist about us, or the possibility of this (our get-to-know phase) to sustain since it would take 2 plane tickets to visit each other after I got back to Pontianak.

But as someone who watches HIMYM a lot, just like Robin Scherbatzky said, "If you have chemistry, you only need one other thing. Timing." I believed when we have chemistry, we only need to be patient until the timing happens.

Fortunately, it did happen.

8 months passed, My friend and I planned to travel to Makassar, which was coincidentally the town where he went to college. He then decided to join with us and it was officially the first time we actually met. The sparks grew even more and effortlessly. Yet, we did not really discuss anything about our relationship - not until the last day, when he drove me to the airport, he undoubtedly said, "I would like to meet your parents in Pontianak. Let's arrange it soon."

Fast forward to 2 months after, he met my parents, we discussed about taking it to the next step and that was that.

We finally come to this. That's how we get to today.
