Q: What time does the ceremony start?
A: The ceremony will begin at 12:00pm, followed by the reception. Reception will probably start around 2:15.
Q: What is the dress code?
A: The dress code is formal. Feel free to wear something elegant and comfortable.
Q: Can I bring a plus-one?
A: Due to limited seating, we are only allowing married and engaged couples to bring plus ones Please ensure to fill this out on the rsvp form.
Q: Are kids allowed?
A: To allow all guests to fully relax, we kindly request an adults-only celebration. Unless you have extenuating circumstances and cannot leave your bundles of joy alone, just note it on the RSVP form.
Q: Will there be a wedding registry?
A: Your presence is the greatest gift, but if you'd like to bless us with a gift, you can find our registry on the website.

Q: I’ve never flown before—how do I book my flight?
A: We recommend booking with Qatar Airways from O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB) in Johannesburg to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). You can book online at Qatar Airways or contact us for assistance.
Q: How much should I budget for my trip?

Q: How do I apply for a U.S. tourist visa?
A: Follow these steps:
Fill out the DS-160 Visa Application online here
Pay the $185 USD (~R3,500 ZAR) visa fee
Schedule an interview at your nearest U.S. Consulate in South Africa
Gather required documents (passport, DS-160 confirmation, proof of finances, invitation letter)

Wedding Day Details
Q: Will there be food at the wedding?
A: Yes! We will have a variety of delicious food and drinks. Let us know in advance if you have dietary restrictions.
Q: Will there be traditional elements in the wedding?
A: Yes! We’re incorporating some South African Zulu elements and some traditional Irish pieces as well, so get ready for a beautiful blend of traditions.
Q: Will there be transportation to and from the wedding venue?
A: Yes, we will coordinate transportation for guests staying in our arranged accommodations.
Miscellaneous
Q: Can I extend my stay in the U.S. after the wedding?
A: Yes! Your tourist visa allows you to stay for up to 6 months, but you are responsible for arranging your own accommodation and expenses beyond the wedding.
Q: What if my visa is denied?
A: Unfortunately, we have no control over visa approvals. If your visa is denied, we will be heartbroken but will celebrate with you from afar!
Q: Can I bring a wedding gift from South Africa?
A: While we appreciate the thought, traveling with large gifts can be tricky. A contribution to our registry or a heartfelt letter means just as much!
