The day it all started. Drex transferred from Mississippi State University to DBU and out of 9 different Orientations, he and Izzy were at the same one. Out of the hundreds of new students there, they ended up being in the same group, where they met! As you can see, Izzy instantly liked him ;)

Drex and Izzy got close by having a class together! Since it was COVID year, their class was hybrid so they didn't have to go every day. When they could've done the class online, they still met up just so they could hangout. This class was at 8:00am, so there definitely was something there to make them wanna go to the library every day:)

Izzy and Drex started hanging out more, but always with a big group of friends. They would all go on late night adventures together, go on drives, and have fun!

At this point, they definitely started catching feelings but never said anything. Izzy and her friends would visit Drex at work, and he would visit her at home with his friends. They would find any excuse to see each other, but didn't hangout one on one until later!

This is when it all changed. Izzy invited Drex to her sorority formal and he invited her to his fraternity formal. They couldn't deny their feelings for each other and started flirting more. This was the moment Izzy knew she had feelings for Drex! He had known for a while though :)

This was the only picture Izzy took to remember this day. The day Drex told her he liked her! He was so nervous, he had to stop and shoot some hoops to calm himself down :) Izzy reciprocated and the rest is history!

Drex took Izzy on their first date. It was nothing short of a dream. They had the whole patio to themselves, and he asked her to be his girlfriend on the top of the Reunion Tower in Downtown Dallas!

Drex, Izzy, and their friends went on Spring Break together at Seaside! This became a tradition, where they went every year. So many memories were made here- especially their first vacation together!

They spent their first summer on the lake, going on dates, and making so many memories!

Soooo Drex and Izzy were apart for a few months but never stopped having feelings. They kept talking and decided to try again but take things slow, looking forward to the holiday season!

Drex and Izzy parted ways for the last time... and funny enough this raccoon brought them back together. Izzy hit this raccoon on her way home from a birthday dinner and it messed up her car pretty bad. Although other people tried to help her, Izzy knew the only person she needed was Drex. After months of not talking, she called Drex and he came immediately to help her.

Izzy and Drex started hanging out again, catching up on all that God had done in their lives during their time apart. It was obvious that changes happened and God was answering prayers for the both of them.

Drex quickly asked Izzy on another first date. They went to such a romantic dinner where they got to talk for hours. They knew they missed each other and didn't want to go another day apart!

Drex asked Izzy to be his girlfriend again a few days later. It was clear that God had done a work in both of them and they both were truly so different and excited to pursue each other again!

The Lord continued to edify their relationship and bring Izzy and Drex closer together. They grew a lot, learned more about each other, and fell in love with each other all over again.

They continued to make many memories together throughout the year. They went country dancing, went to the State Fair, went to Mavs games, and hungout with friends!

Drex surprised Izzy with a day trip to LA! It was so memorable and so much fun.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever!” -Ephesians 3:20. This scripture has been at the forefront of Drex & Izzy’s relationship! They saw this come to fruition once again as Drex crossed the stage at DBU! Through the Spirit of God, generational Curses are being broken off by these two!

Izzy and Drex hosted their first Friendsgiving for their closest friends! They hosted it at Drex's house, a home he bought earlier in the year at 22 years old!

Drex starts a new job as a Student Pastor and Izzy serves with him! Together they are furthering the kingdom and becoming more unified Spiritually. Powerful things start happening through them!

Drex proposes!!! The most magical day. Even in the midst of a heavy rainstorm, nothing could've stopped this moment! She said yes!

If you read this far, we just want you to know how evidently God's hand has been over Izzy and Drex's relationship. Through highs and lows, they have always kept Jesus at the center, trusting in His plan. Love, grace, joy, freedom, and restoration are only a few of the things God has done through them. We are so excited to see how God continues to write their story!
