Our Wedding

Jackie and John met on Hinge in June 2019. After a few days of talking to each other on the app, John asked Jackie if she wanted to meet for a few drinks at a bar in Midtown Manhattan, to which Jackie happily said yes. At this date, their similar interests and senses of humor became immediately apparent. After the date ended, the two agreed to see each other again soon. After many dates (and a whole pandemic), the two moved in together in May 2021. On December 23, 2023, John asked Jackie if she wanted to go out to one of their favorite restaurants for a night out before the holidays. When they came home, John asked Jackie to turn on the Christmas tree lights, and when Jackie turned around after doing so, John was there, down on one knee. After saying "Is this really happening?!" multiple times, Jackie finally said yes. Jackie and John are so excited to celebrate their love with all of their family and friends!

The closest airports to the hotel and venue are LaGuardia Airport and JFK International Airport. Both are about equidistant to the hotel. Newark Liberty International Airport is a little further away. It is also easy to travel by train to the hotel. You can take Amtrak to New York Penn Station and take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to Westbury station from there. You can also take the LIRR from Grand Central Station and Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn to the same station. Uber and Lyft are available for travel between the train station and the hotel (it is about a 10 minute ride). You can use the LIRR app or go to the website to look up the times for the train. A quick heads up if you are taking the LIRR: if you are taking the LIRR to Westbury from Penn Station, Grand Central, or Atlantic Terminal on Friday between 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm, make sure you purchase a Peak train ticket. You can purchase an Off-Peak train ticket for your trip back to those stations on Sunday. A shuttle will be made available between the hotel and the venue, and we will have more information about that soon.
