Join us for a weekend of celebration at the Journeyman Lodge.
The Journeyman Lodge is located up the Callaghan Valley, situated between the towns of Squamish and Whistler.
The nearest airport is Vancouver international (YVR), about 2 hours from the Callaghan base.
There are two access options for arriving at the lodge on Friday:
Drive to the Callaghan base (https://maps.app.goo.gl/2XqBcBBuQx8KXznQ6) , 42 minutes north of Squamish via highway 99 and Callaghan road (paved). From there, an ATV ride can be arranged for $99 round-trip directly to the lodge along the Wild Spirit/Parkway gravel roads(pink and orange on the map). (Please let us know in advance if you would like this option and we can set it up). Check in for the shuttle is in the morning between 8am-11am, Three people can be taken at a time, with multiple shuttle trips to cover all taking this option.
From the Callaghan base (https://maps.app.goo.gl/2XqBcBBuQx8KXznQ6 42 min. north of Squamish) turn off the paved road onto Callaghan FSR (Blue in map), signs for Callaghan lake. At the Callaghan base, you can drop off bags in the morning between 8am - 10am if you don't want to hike with them, and they will be transported to the lodge for you free of charge. Bags should be under 40lbs. Please bring a hiking backpack with water and snacks.
Proceed along the dirt road (slightly rough, but ok for most SUVs ) for 30 min to trailhead parking (https://maps.app.goo.gl/qabmLtFUVvpzFnDcA) just before Callaghan lake. From here, the trail to Journeyman lodge is about 5km (3 miles), a bit bumpy, but without much elevation gain (Orange on map).
Check out is at 10:30am and for those hiking, you can pick up your luggage by 12pm from the base. We suggest using the same option to return as you used for arriving. Parking for the shuttle and the trailhead are not close to each other, and while there is transport possible between the Callaghan base and the trailhead at Callaghan lake it is a roundabout journey.
