1. Do I need to stay at The Four Seasons?

No! Honolulu is the home of Waikiki where you can stay and enjoy an extended time in the most popular downtown on the island of Oahu. It's about a 40 minute drive to the Four Seasons from there but is where we recommend you stay due to the number of hotel options and walkability of the area with a lot to do. If you'd like to be closer to the venue, the Disney Resort is in the same area as The Four Seasons. We do not have a hotel block due to the intimate size of the wedding.

2. How long should I stay?

We recommend arriving on May 17th or 18th to adjust for time differences and to get settled in. You'll likely also want to stay until the 22nd so you don't need to check out at noon the day after the wedding. The location was chosen knowing many of our guests had Hawaii on their must-visit list, so we encourage everyone to stay longer if budgets allow! We also chose this week to hopefully give everyone an extra day on May 27th without needing to take vacation from work. We would love to enjoy time with everyone in one of our favorite places in the world after the wedding.

3. Are kids allowed?

Due to the extremely limited number of guests allowed, we are asking that you enjoy some time apart from your kids for the wedding. Only those guests with names on the invitation are invited. We are looking forward to spending an intimate night with the adults closest to us!

4. Do you recommend bringing anything specific if I'm vacationing?

Yes! First - skip the body sunscreen. You'll need a ton and it's easiest to just buy it there. Do bring sunscreen for your face though! Plus an extra one! Jaclyn's fav

Hats are a must-have. Something with a wide brim is best for greater sun protection. Baseball caps are okay and better than nothing. I (Jaclyn) have even gotten burned on the part in my hair when surfing so I make sure to wear a hat whenever I'm not in the water!

We also recommend sandals that are easy to walk a lot in and water proof/resistant, but also that match many of your outfits. You'll find yourself wandering over to the beach after dinner or after shopping so you'll want to just pop your shoes off and on. Examples: Crocs, Birkenstock, Teva

For additional sun protection, we recommend something super lightweight and long sleeve as a cover up in case you get burned and don't want to walk around in short sleeves. Additionally, a rash guard is great if you plan on swimming a lot.

Pack knowing you are not stronger than the sun!

5. What is the dress code?

Island/Beach Formal meaning no shorts, jeans, or casual Hawaiian shirts please. Fun, tropical dress attire is welcome. We do not have a wedding party due to the intimate size of the gathering - so dress to be photographed! Examples below.
