What is the dress code?

Semi-formal or dressy casual. Keep in mind, our ceremony will be in the mountains, so stiletto heels are probably not the best idea!

Do I have to take the chairlift to the ceremony?

There will be an option for those who do not want to ride the chairlift up to the ceremony. Disclaimer: the shuttle ride is very bumpy, as you have to drive up a windy, mountainous road. So if you get car sick, this may not be the option for you. It also takes twice the time to get up and down. The chairlift offers beautiful views of the San Juan mountains. (Trust us, it's worth it)! It is a short walk from the chairlift to the ceremony site. Guests will meet one hour prior to ceremony at Arrival Court. Group will then be walked over to lift, sign release form, and board. Lift will take 20 minutes to reach venue.

Are there any restrooms at the ceremony site?

There are no facilities at the top of the mountain. There are restrooms at the base of the mountain before you ride the chairlift.

Where should I fly in to?

Durango-La Plata County Airport (DRO) is the airport in town. The closest international airport is Albuquerque, NM (ABQ) and is about a 3.5 hour drive from Durango.

Should I rent a car?

Yes. Durango is a small town with few options for Uber/Lyft, etc. You'll want a car to explore the area! There are six rental car agencies in the terminal. Go to www.flydurango.com to make a reservation.

What will the weather be like?

The end of June is beautiful in Durango. You have warm afternoons in the 80s or low-90s, but it can get chilly at night! Our venue is high in elevation, so the sun sets quickly! You may want something warm by the end of the night.

Is this an adults-only wedding?

Yes. To allow all guests to relax and enjoy themselves, we have chosen to make our special day adults only. We thank you for your understanding.

Is there a welcome party?

Yes! We have reserved space at the 11th Street Station located in Downtown Durango from 6:30-8:00pm on Friday. Please join us in kicking off our wedding weekend! There will be an open bar and artisan pizzas to nosh on.
