Our Wedding

It may sound cliché, but a few minutes was all it took. We met for Sushi after swiping right on Bumble the day before. It's safe to say it didn't take long for us to realize we had met someone special. Two dates in one day, followed by a third and fourth by the end of the week, well, you get the picture (it was nauseating). After meeting each other's incredible families, and both feeling as if we were home, it didn't take long for Jake to pop the question. In a beautiful snowstorm while hiking the Catalina Mountains, Jaclyn said yes. Fast forward a few years, and here we are planning our wedding! We are so excited to welcome our closest friends and family to join us for this special time in our lives. We cannot wait for June 2024!

Convenience is key. Your room will be steps away from our wedding reception. This is also where we will have our room block for guests who don't want to drive anywhere afterwards. To book a room under our room block, call lodging at 800-525-0892. To book at the group rate, let them know it is for the Selesky/Hermes wedding. Rooms should be booked prior to 7/26/22. There are restaurants and bars located at the base of the mountain. If you're looking for fun things to do without leaving the property, you can ride the Inferno Mountain Coaster or the Alpine Slide, paddleboard on Twilight Lake or check out one of the many hiking trails around you! When it comes to lodging, Purgatory Resort offers a variety of lodging unit types, from hotel rooms to condos, housing everyone from singles to groups. Located in the rugged San Juan Mountains, which offer stunning views, but are also only 25 miles north of Downtown Durango.

Staying at the historic Starter Hotel is an experience. Built in 1887, the Strater Hotel is one of the West’s iconic hotels and a prominent downtown Durango, Colorado landmark. It is also where Jake worked his first job as a bell boy! :-) The Strater Hotel is adorned with beautiful handcrafted woodwork, period wallpaper, and the largest collection of American Victorian walnut antiques which are used to decorate the hotel and guestrooms. It's like sleeping in a museum. Located in the heart of Downtown Durango, you are just steps away from tons of shops, bars, and restaurants.

If you're looking for a more conventional stay, this is in a great location right on the Animas River and just a few blocks from Downtown Durango.
