Our Wedding

Marjabelle and Jake met at a Sounders game on March 25, 2017 through mutual friends right after Jake had moved to Washington from Ohio. A few years later, in September of 2019, they found each other again and had their first date at Fred's Rivertown Alehouse. Not even a few weeks later and she had him driving her to the airport for her various travels. And in less than a month, they made it official. Less than six months into their relationship, Covid hit where they were forced to have, in essence, a long distance relationship even though they were a mere twelve miles apart. They spent a lot of their time texting and Facetiming and made it out the other end. Since then they have grown more and more both as individuals and as partners. They love to travel, explore local breweries and restaurants, and OCCASIONALLY Jake gets his way and they have a quiet day relaxing with no plans whatsoever. Marjabelle and Rayna have been best friends since before Marjabelle had memories. Rayna has been a loyal protector, constant confidant, and continuous sense of humor in Marjabelle's life for more than 20 years.

For the earlier years of Marjabelle and Abi's friendship, they could often be found huddled under a blanket consuming exorbitant amounts of bread and sangria planning to be neighbors when they're old and gray (rocking on their front porches and making fun of the young bucks that pass by).

Abbie is one of the very few people that could make a road trip sound like a fun idea to Marjabelle. It is impossible to not have a good time when Abbie is around because she simultaneously makes you feel like a comedian and a philosopher. Marjabelle has truly been blessed by her friendship.

Alyssa and Marjabelle's friendship has grown over the past 3 years to the point where Alyssa usually takes over Jake's roll as Marjabelle's +1. The duo can be found on a random Tuesday enjoying a tulip festival, binging the latest trash tv series on Netflix, or sipping wine flights in San Fransisco.

Marjabelle met Bailey through church and made an instant bond over their constant ADHD leg bouncing habits. They have been on numerous adventures and intend to take their travel adventures international this coming year.

GETTING THERE 11014 UCT Loop Rd, Lake Stevens, WA 98258 The venue for the celebration will be in Lake Stevens. However, parking will be along Highway 9 at the Costco parking lot where you will get shuttled to and from the Venue.

What is there to do in Washington anyway?

If you are a lover of Ice Cream, this place was made for you! Jake and I stop by pretty much every time we are going north. The ice scream scoops are colossal and there are plenty of other goodies to enjoy throughout the market!

Lots, and I mean LOTS, of hiking throughout Washington. Plenty of easier hikes to be had just outside of Lake Stevens in the town of Granite Falls.

Whether you're a Seahawks fan or not, preseason games are always a good time and an excuse to have a few drinks and some yummy food in Seattle!

There is a variety of concert locations with all kinds of artists cycling through Seattle. In the weeks surrounding the wedding, we'll have Beyonce, Coldplay, Arctic Monkeys, Lionel Richie with Earth, Wind &amp; Fire, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper, and Zac Brown Band passing through to name a few.

If you are looking for a fancy night out, Jake's favorite spot is Daniel's Broiler in Bellevue where you may just fall in love with a steak. We always get reservations for sunset because, if the clouds don't completely take over the sky, you're in for a spectacular view.

For all the wine lovers, Woodinville is abundant with wineries and restaurants galore. If you're in the area you should definitely check out Lifted Taco for a new take on tacos.

Whether it's warm or cold out this September, the hot tub boats are sure to be a good time. I would say it's more fun to go right before sunset that way you get to see Lake Union in two different lights!

Get whacked in the face by your SO's hair on a number of ferries! No, but it really is fun to hop on a ferry and explore one of the islands nearby. The two closest options would be the Edmonds to Kingston ferry or the Mukilteo to Clinton ferry.
