Our Wedding

Though they shared many of the same classes during their time at SUNY Albany, Jake and Saretta’s story truly began junior year. By then, Jake had realized that no, she wasn’t just coincidentally everywhere he was, and Saretta had begun to notice that maybe he really was as smart and funny as he seemed. While working on their theses, a group chat was created for peer reviews within their seminar. Jake saw this as the perfect opportunity to finally connect with Saretta and was excited to have her number and a reason to work together. That excitement was short-lived, however, when the first draft was shared and another classmate’s name appeared on the paper. Jake quickly realized he had made an innocent, albeit memorable, mistake: he wasn’t flirting with Saretta after all. Even though the plan didn’t go as intended, it sparked a genuine friendship that grew naturally over the months that followed. As time passed, that friendship began to turn into something more, even if neither was quite ready to make the first move. Jake started taking the bus with Saretta—despite having a car—just to spend a little extra time together, and Saretta would linger after class, knowing Jake had another nearby, hoping to run into him. Eventually, with a little encouragement from a friend and a touch of liquid courage, Saretta decided it was time for clarity. She gave Jake a simple ultimatum: “take me on a date or stop leading me on”.Jake didn’t hesitate, and the two went on their first date in Albany, both knowing it was an important moment. Saretta’s roommate at the time even joked, “I feel like this date will determine whether you’re meant to be friends—or together forever,” and she couldn’t have been more right. That summer, Jake and Saretta became inseparable. They made things official, fell in love, explored Albany and the Capital District, and seamlessly integrated into each other’s lives. After graduating in 2019, both pursued master’s degrees at Boston University, with Jake returning to Boston and Saretta staying in Albany for another year. They made long distance work, visiting whenever they could, and were finally reunited when Saretta landed an internship in Boston. Her new home was a house full of rotating roommates - Josh, Shawn, and Kim. In November 2020, Jake and Saretta took their next big step together, moving into their first apartment in Newton, Massachusetts, where they still live today. Fast forward to June 2025, when Jake planned the surprise of a lifetime and proposed to Saretta at Kittery Beach in Maine. The celebration continued with both families waiting nearby, followed by a weekend full of memories in Ogunquit. Over the past seven years, Jake and Saretta have stood by each other through countless milestones and firsts, supporting one another every step of the way as they build their lives side by side. They are beyond excited to continue their journey together and to celebrate their love with the people who mean the most to them on October 4, 2026.

Our Story

Photos

Josh is my older brother and lifelong partner-in-crime. He’s the one who taught me equal parts mischief and loyalty, and he’s always been a guiding influence in our lives. I’m so grateful to have him standing by my side on this special day.

Josh Intorcio

I met Mike in college, where we became roommates, running partners, and pretty much family. We’ve logged countless miles training for marathons together, shared endless memories from our Albany days, and spent some of our best summer weekends at the lake house. I’m so grateful to have him by my side for this day.

Mike Geremia

Griffin and I grew up together in North Reading, and he’s been one of my closest friends through it all. From hometown adventures to every stage of life since, he’s always been the kind of friend you can count on. I’m thrilled to have him here celebrating with us.

Griffin Paine

Shane and I grew up in the same neighborhood in North Reading, sharing the same bus stop in front of my childhood home and many memories chestnut village. He’s been a steady friend ever since, and I’m grateful to have him here to celebrate with us.

Shane Bartlett

I met Huy through KPMG, and he’s truly the best kind of friend you can hope to find later in life. He’s smart, thoughtful, and has been a steady supporter of Saretta and me in everything we do. We’re so grateful to have him celebrating with us.

Huy Le

Bobby is Saretta’s eldest brother — the Welshman— and someone who can light up any room with his quick wit and infectious humor. Even with the long distance, he’s a constant source of joy and support, and someone we treasure deeply. We’re so happy to have him here with us.

Bobby Holler

Garrett is Saretta’s younger brother, and it’s been such a joy for us to watch him grow into the man he is today. He brings a kind heart, a steady presence, and a great sense of humor to every family moment. We’re so glad to have him standing with us on this special day.

Jillian is my sister, best friend, the person I look up to most, and someone who has unintentionally taught me so much about life, love, and relationships just by being herself. She’s been a constant source of guidance, strength, and perspective through every stage of my life. Kind, generous, and fiercely loyal, she is the most wonderful role model—and I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this day and always.

Jonika may be my aunt, but being only ten years older, she’s always felt much more like a friend. I spent my younger years by her side and have looked up to her ever since. She has a light about her that makes it impossible to be in a bad mood around her, and she brings so much humor, kindness, and generosity into my life. I’m so grateful to have her standing with me on this day.

Michelle was originally one of Jake’s friends until I stole her. We met in college and became close during the infamous “summer school” year. Six years, countless girls’ nights, lake house trips, and nonstop group texts later, Michelle is one of my closest friends - hysterical, loyal and someone I’m so grateful to have by my side.

Michelle Jurczynski

Katie was originally one of Jake’s friends but quickly became one of mine — not that she gave me much of a choice. We met in college and really bonded during the infamous “summer school” year. Six years, countless girls’ nights, lake house trips, and nonstop group texts later, she’s become one of my kindest, most chaotic and cherished friends.

Michaela has been one of my closest friends since middle school. We met through gymnastics, became best friends, and have stayed that way no matter how far apart we’ve lived. Even with distance, Michaela has always been the most genuine, steady, kind and supportive friend. I am so thankful to have her in my life and to stand by my side all these years later.

Michaela Lomelo

Karen was my freshman-year suitemate and one of the very first people who made college feel like home. Over the years, we’ve shared countless memories and navigated real highs and lows together, building a friendship rooted in trust, honesty, and loyalty. I’m so grateful for a bond that has truly stood the test of time and for having her by my side on such a meaningful day.

Karen Padilla

I met Veronica at Jake's KPMG holiday party, and from the moment we met, we knew we’d be close friends. Finding meaningful friendships in adult life isn’t easy, but V made it effortless. She’s endlessly thoughtful, kind, and generous, and we feel so lucky to have her in our lives forever.

Veronica Cheng

I met Emily through V, and from the very beginning I knew she was the kind of friend you only hope to find in adult life. She’s witty, generous, endlessly supportive, and someone who shows up wholeheartedly in every way. I’m so grateful to have her in my life and standing with us on this special day.
