Our Wedding

Jake and Sydney met at Truman State University. After a few years of being in the same social circle, they became close "friends." After a few months in December 2019 Jake and Syd made it official, just as Syd was leaving Kirksville. Nothing like starting off a relationship 6 hours apart! The distance was no problem for them, two years later on New Year's eve, in front of friends and family, Jake got down on one knee and asked Syd to marry him.. to which she responded "Are you f****** kidding me?!" which of course meant YES! We are so excited to have you join us to write the next part of our story!

We reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn under the Van Doren wedding. The Hilton is about a 10 minute drive from the venue. We will have shuttle service arranged for guests to/from the ceremony and reception. This is where the wedding party and families will be staying :) PS- the block has potential to fill up if so, we also have a block at the Best Western! More info relating to transportation to follow.

Hilton Garden Inn Chesterton

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Best Western. The Best Western is directly next to the venue, so there will be no transportation needed/provided. Please use the link above to book within the wedding block, or call and mention the Scherzinger/Van Doren wedding.

Best Western Indian Oak

Just a friendly reminder to book the hotels early. The Indiana Dunes are located close and are a popular summer destination. The hotels have potential to fill up quick!
